Very sturdy, holds up detergent and laundry room supplies without bending. Angled slightly (<90deg) so that if it does bend, your items wont fall out. I used 1x10 boards from Home Depot.

These were cheaper options than what my wife found elsewhere on other sites and I needed six of them so it suited my needs it those regards. They are pretty sturdy and the paint job, while not the greatest wasnt terrible. It also shipped really quickly. But be aware of the following issues and proceed at your own risk... 1. They will not come at a perfect 90 degree angle. They will be slightly bent upwards but when I added the weight of the wood shelves they seemed to flatten out a bit more. Granted they were 6 2x12s so pretty hefty boards. Not a major deal breaker for me. 2. They say they have beveled holes. They show images of beveled holes. But they also show images of them without beveled holes. As others pointed out and I will reiterate, they came WITHOUT beveled holes so the screws wont sit flush. Dont fall for the beveled hole trick if your lifes purpose centers around beveled holes being in your shelf brackets. You will be disappointed and no one likes being disappointed. 3. This is the BIG one...DO NOT, and I mean, DO NOT use the screws that come with them. They are cheap and the heads break off easily. I ventured down that path. I read the reviews saying the same thing. I thought, meh, Im smarter than the average Al Borlin. Ill drill some holes first, go nice and slow, whisper some sweet nothings to it and boom, there wont be an issue. WRONG! Holes or no holes, the first one snapped off just as it began to snuggle up against the bracket face and I found myself digging out a chunk of sheet rock around it just to extract it. Curse words may have been spoken at that point (the rage black out makes things a little fuzzy). Luckily once I came too, the bracket was wide enough to cover my extraction point. And on the bright side, it did help me learn a new trick on extracting broken screws from sheet rock. Yay ingenuity! So clearly it was either the screws being cheap or my sweet talk game needs to be upped. Either way, do yourself a favor and invest in a box of quality black screws from the local hardware store. Personally, I ended up using composite decking screws I had laying around and used a black sharpie to paint them black to match. Or if you are the stubborn type that knows better than those that have gone before you, you can use their screws and be OK with patching holes in your sheet rock if you prefer...but when you awaken from your rage black out, just know, we told you so.

Just need studs. They’ve got good weight.

I agree with a previous review, the finish on it is sloppy. They are heavy and feel like they’ll do the job. BUT DO NOT USE THE HARDWARE IT COMES WITH BY NO MEANS!!!! Go get your own from Home Depot or Lowe’s. The screws broke at the head when trying to install the brackets, leaving the screws stuck in our wall. The associate at the store said these were not quality grade material. Very cheap.

For the price of these brackets, I was surprisingly shocked by how well they were made and how good they look; I would recommend them to anyone I know.

Used these brackets to hold my heavy 3 L window boxes. Bent the aluminum pieces to provide extra stability. Worked perfectly! No wiggle. No sagging. Will recommend to my friends.

I am very happy with how the shelves turned out. The aesthetic was exactly as I was going for, as I bought 8in oak and stained them for the design... fit perfectly. The brackets are heavy so I was a little concerned on relying on screw inserts so I drilled into the studs. No regrets there, but the very first screw snapped in half halfway into the stud. Didnt trust the hardware after that so spent 6$ on new screws and installation went great after that.
