    I live in a 1879 farmhouse and we like to keep it original. HOWEVER.... making pie crust or roll out cookies on old counters is impossible..this is WONDERFUL ♥️♥️♥️

    Really pleased with this pastry mat. So much easier to clean than my old stiff plastic one. Love the little notched strap for keeping rolled while stored. Our family used this and the old plastic one when making ravioli. Since the silicone is flexible and a bit like a cushion, it was harder to stamp ravioli on this mat vs the old plastic one. Ive used this mat for pie and pizza crust, and loved how much cleaner my work surface was. The raised edge prevented the usual massive blow out of flour onto the table. Ill use the old plastic one for stuff like cut out cookies and ravioli, and this for the rest.

    This silicone mat was a huge upgrade for me. For pie crusts, I had been using a cloth mat with a frame that had belonged to my grandmother. No frame needed for this mat and it cleans up so easily. You can accurately roll ot the right size pie crust and it comes right off the mat when you transfer it to the pie plate. I really like it!

    I ordered this without first measuring the space I was expecting to use it in. It turned out to be considerably larger than my available counter space but I figured out that I could completely clear off that area each time and it will fit perfectly when turned 90 degrees. Ive used it once so far to make biscuits and it worked well.

    I make sourdough bread and it can be sticky at first before you start working it. Not with this mat. I am able to knead my dough without any problems. My husband use to use an old hard plastic rolled up mat that wouldnt stay flat whenever he made his pizza dough. One time with this and the rolled up mat went into the garbage. So many great colors is the bonus. We really like this one!
