Skip Hop Baby Play Mat, Interlocking Foam Floor Tiles, 70 x 56, Playspot, Grey/Cream

I was hesitant to buy these due to the gassing off issue. When I received them I aired them out for about a week outside in my garage. I then wiped them down with a damp cloth and laid them in out in the chevron design in our sunroom/playroom. I have not noticed a smell at all. They are super easy to clean and the look os so much nicer than the crazy rainbow colored tiles. My daughter is crawling around so much better on these than the rug I was previously using from Land of Nod.

I absolutely love this mat! Its great for my 7 month old to crawl around on. We ended up purchasing a second mat to cover the entire living room ( we have hard woods). The grey and cream match perfectly with our home color scheme. I like that you can create your own designs (chevron, triangles, stripes, etc).

Cute in person. It doesnt look bad in our living room and doesnt scream I have a baby and his things take up every corner of the house. Its kind of firmer than I wanted, but its definitely way better than our hardwood floors. Weve had it for probably 3 months now and its starting to show some wear. I think however that that may be more from my cats than anything(nail marks). The chemical smell other reviewers complained about went away within a few days. I would recommend to a buyer that is looking for a more stylish, adult-friendly design option.

So far working great for a nice pad for my crawling daughter to play on that blends in well with our living room. I like how you can change the patterns, we chose the chevron for ours. The only drawback is that my curious daughter does like to pull up the edge pieces at times but its not too bad. I was worried about the cream colored tiles but weve had for months and it still looks clean.

Super easy to take apart and reassemble! We have a tiny little house, so we use the full size when its just our little family and break it down to 1/2 the size when we have company over. Easy to wipe clean and makes kneeling or sitting by my baby so much more comfortable than hardwood flooring!

I bought this to go under the play yard Id purchased, since we have hardwood floors. The triangular tiles came connected as squares (one each of the gray and white connected), so I went with the striped design to avoid disconnecting the pre-done squares. Made assembly even easier! I wouldnt say the material is soft, but I wasnt expecting it to be. Since my baby is nearing the walking stage, I wanted something firm enough for him to balance on, but softer than a wooden floor. This does just that. Im very happy with this purchase and would purchase it again. I actually have 10 extra triangular tiles and several end pieces left over, so I am saving them as replacement tiles, in case some show wear over time. I recommend this product, but do want to mention two things, so purchasers are aware: 1) Although I just purchased this, I only ranked it a 4 instead of a 5 for easy to clean, because the triangular shape means more crevices to clean when spit up and other incidents occur. Also, my gray end pieces were not the same gray as the triangular pieces (could be a fluke). I resolved it by using gray with white and white with gray, so they werent right next to each other, and that made it less noticeable. Someone who had their heart set on a particular design could end up returning it if their grays also dont match. That being said, if you have your play yard set up in a rectangular design like us, there are not many products that seem to fit the needed dimensions. I was very impressed at how well this fits and am glad I chose this product. I very rarely write reviews, but I spent so much time researching these and trying to choose one that would fit the dimensions I needed that I want to write this to hopefully help other shoppers.

It does the job of keeping your kid off the floor, but I would recommend putting a rug over them (totally defeating the purpose of overpaying for the cute-ness of the product). The quality just isnt there for it to hold up. There are indentations everywhere, and if you have a dog, forget about it. There are marks all over this thing. It looks adorable when you get it out of the package and put it together, but as soon as you use it, there are marks all over and it is a MAJOR pain to clean. It seem like youll just be able to wipe it clean an everything will be dandy. As soon as you start wiping it, the liquid seeps between the tiles, getting all over the floor beneath it. If you dont notice this is happening, youre going to leave the tiles down, destroying the floor underneath it. I ended up taking it totally apart (very time consuming b/c I have 2 sets) and taking them outside to spray them off. Im thinking about just trying to sell them or getting a rug for over them b/c Im not going through this process again.

When we decided to create a playroom for our 6 month old in our combined living/dining room area, I was determined to find a play mat that was functional, but would not draw too much attention to it being a play area. This mat fits in perfectly with our decor without clashing. The reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is it is not as cushioned or padded as I would like. We have this over a tile floor and it is not thick enough for my daughter to lay on it alone. We always put down a separate play mat or blanket when we lay her down. Also, if you have pets (particularly large dogs) I would recommend keeping them far away from this mat. My dogs have managed to leave nail prints and claw marks all over it! All in all I am happy with this mat based on its appearance and function, but wish it was made a little thicker, especially based on the price.

Very durable and easy to wipe clean. It works really well for my son’s play area. Love the look of the mat and I like that you can put the tiles into different patterns. Great purchase!

Pricey but adds a nice touch to the playroom. I like that you can design whatever style you want. Very thick and durable (I’ve had it for 3 years now and not a rip or tear yet!)
