> 3 dayThis worked great on my new garage door. I use it to indicate if the door is open or closed on my detached garage in the house.

> 3 dayPerfect. Using for my Insteon home automation....they used to include this exact item in their garage door kits but have since cheaped out. I ordered this to match the one Ive had for several years when I wanted to add HA control to my second door.

> 3 dayBuy this one instead of the Honeywell Contacts because this one have contacts for both Normally Open (NO) and Normally Closed (NC) circuits so I use one for my alarm and another circuit for indicator for the garage doors are open or closed. There are no label the wires so you need to test it with test meter. Need to connect to a relay if pull more amperage or volts. The distances apart can be up to 2 inches.

> 3 dayThis sensor was the perfect choice for sensing when my roll up garage door is completely secured. What I like the most is that this model supports both Normally Closed and Normally Open systems; There are three wires, red/black/green. When the door is closed, there is continuity between Black/Green When the door is open, there is continuity between Black/Red In my application I discarded the red wire and have a raspberry pi send a text notification when the door is opened unexpectedly. The activation range is very good, over two inches. This prevents false alarms when the wind blows against the overheard door and it moves slightly.

> 3 dayI have not installed this yet but I have tested it. It appears well made and functions as I expected it to. This switch has the ability to control two functions with NO and NC positions. I plan to use this for my garage door to tell if it open or closed (we have been known to leave the door open all night). The two contacts will let me have a red light if the door is open and a green light if it is closed without using a relay in my DIY indicator panel. This also lets me know of any faults because one light will always be on. That makes for the minimum of circuitry in the panel. I also found a magnetic switch with the same function for the man door.

> 3 dayThis is a great switch. The switch part is both lightweight and extremely tough; the magnet part is easy to mount and also light. The activation distance is around two inches that makes for finding a nice mount point easy. Additionally, the magnet can be reversed on the mount if you need a little more distance for a weird mounting spot. The armored cable protects the signal wires, so if you run over it with the car it will still work. Since it has normally open and normally closed outputs, it will work in any wired alarm application. Really nice device.
