> 3 dayI used these switches to put indicator lights in the house so I would know if the garage doors are open or closed. I have used a wireless type of system before, but many times got error message. These wired sensors were installed on top of wall above garage door with magnetic on the door. I wired them to a green light for close and red light for open for each door, using the N/C and N/O contact to turn on the correct light. They worked great and now have a wired system to make sure garage doors are closed.

> 3 dayThis is exactly what I needed for my garage door sensor. I had tried a simple reed switch, like one would use on a window, but it just wasnt up to the task. This item is much hardier, and the results are more predictable - meaning no more false readings. I mounted the switch at the top of my overhead door. Because of limited mounting surface on the wall and clearance requirements on the door, I was not able to line up the magnet with the switch. But even with at 50% overlap, it reads correctly. If you are setting up a door sensor that you want to work well for a long time, this is the switch you need.

> 3 dayDoes what I needed. Has both normally open and normally closed contacts making it perfect for residential/commercial applications as well as automotive security applications.

06-04-2025Very high quality alarm contact with an all metal body and nice metal wrapped cable. I’ve used many of these in my past job and never had one fail in and industrial or residential application. It’s definitely one of the highest quality alarm components I’ve encountered. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a rugged contact. I’ve paired them with the dry contacts on Honeywell wireless sensors to create a wireless option as well.

> 3 dayWas actually a NC contactor for an old school buzzer using 12v. Many others come NO without the three wires.
