I was having trouble setting up an automation to turn on a driveway LED flood light using the Yolink Smart Outdoor Plug with motion sensor, so I called Yolink customer service. To my surprise, they answered in two rings and were ready to help me out. Kevin stepped me through the issue (I had made a mistake on set up) and I had it up and working minutes later!

I received a replacement and it is working flawlessly. I would give it 5 stars, but online support is a joke, email support is slow. I think this is awesome technology that could stand some development. This could be great if they invest in the software. I now own 6 yolink devices and plan to add more in the future This is supposed to operate my led lights in a remote grow room. Most of the other YoLink products have worked fine, but this outdoor plug wont stay connected. Every morning I wake up to an alarm saying its offline. Ive tried all the tricks to get it to work and it wont. Am returning for replacement and my opinion of this product may change, but for now its 2 stars

I have a complete YoLink system. This switch works great and really like all the YoLink products.

I have used several other manufactured Outdoor WiFi controlled plugs. They all worked in the beginning but failed soon after. Usually right after the return period ends. Tried YoLink and so far it has worked great on setting up Christmas lights out doors. I have 3 of these and worked perfectly all season. Set on a schedule came on and went off without any intervention from me. I now have several YoLink devices and installation is super simple and they work flawlessly.

Tried to use this outdoors in a rain proof box. Despite being only 100 ft away from the controller, the signal was not sufficient for a reliable signal. Also, found out the hard way that it only will handle the rated 15amps as a steady load. Peak startup amps blew something inside and it never worked again. Contacted support and they recommended adding a relay to resolve.

I’ll start off by saying that I really like all of the Yolink products that I own I have a lot of temperature sensors and all work quite well, indoors and out. However, this product has a HUGE design flaw. It is an outdoor, weatherproof switch that doesn’t work with GFCI outlets. When plugged into a GFCI outlet, it trips the breaker as soon as the switch is turned on. All outdoor outlets are supposed to be GFCI for safety. Why would you design a product for outdoor use that doesn’t support outdoor rated outlets? I contacted support and they promptly replied that this is true and that the product doesn’t in fact support GFCI outlets. Great customer support, generally great products, but a total miss on product design on this item.

The outdoor switch was an easy set up, works perfect and easily has a longer wireless range than other plugs I had used in the past.

Works seamlessly with the YoLink system. Easy to use interface via. YoLink app. I used it outside in cold temperature for Christmas lights and no issues. Another great YoLink product!

The yolink products have just enough wifi range to control several smart devices in my basement where others failed. Also like the power strip which gave me greater flexibility Highly recommend

I really like the YoLink stuff. Once you have the hub it’s easy to add accessories like this switch unit and program them with your phone. Had this one set up in less than 5 minutes.
