> 3 dayKeeps constantly disconnecting, convoluted process to connect to Alexa, requiring an email address just to use… these plugs are pretty much worthless. Unless you need something quick, to hold you until you purchase decent ones, don’t bother. The other issues are workable, but no… constantly disconnecting is a no-no for a smart device. I only gave the extra star because its responsive at least 45-50% of the time.

> 3 dayGet the kasa smart plug instead. They are easy to connect and never fail. I got kasa after buying the esicoo and they were wonderful 1. Esicoo has 6 different types of smart plugs and none have model numbers 2. The instructions say hold button for 5 seconds and it starts blinking. The app has two choices:slow blink and fast blink. The plug blinks right in the middle and neither option works. 3. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app does not help 4. There are no way to reset the plug. 5. The plugs will not connect to app. 6. You will spend hours trying to connect them and fail. 7. There is zero tech support. 8. These are cheaply made and throw onto Amazon to collect free money from suckers 9. Your phone will be connected to your 2.4ghz wifi and the app will think it’s 5ghz and ask you to switch. This is after an uninstall and reinstall of the app. 10. You have to search for the app name to down load. Ap name not found on Amazon description. 11. No manual online. 12. I have worked in IT for 20 years. This is the only electronic device that I have hated. It’s like the manufacture created it as a gag gift to piss off a friend. Do NOT but these plugs. They will make you scream in frustration.

> 3 dayTHIS IS HOW YOU PAIR WITH ALEXA: You have to download the Cloud Intelligence app and you must have the Alexa app. Put the device in pairing mode by holding the button for 5 seconds until it starts blinking. Using the Cloud Intelligence app, select add a device or use the auto find feature. You must have a 2.4g wifi signal for it to pair and you must input your wifi password. You must also allow permissions for Bluetooth and precise location while using the app. Once the device is found, edit the device and rename it whatever you want. Then Open the Alexa app. You must be logged into BOTH accounts. Using the Cloud Intelligence app, go to the profile tab, select More Services and youll see amazon alexa and google assistant. Select amazon alexa, select Bind Account and your phone will open your Alexa app and it will attempt to link the two apps/accounts together. This opens a web page and will either be successful or not. Your Alexa app will get a notification saying its been paired, and your alexa may even audibly tell you that it found new devices, with the names you gave the devices if you edited the names in the Cloud Intelligence app. TEST TO SEE IF WORKING AND THEN DELETE THIS INVASE DATA STEALING APP. It is granted permissions to your search history, photo library, exact location, all your bluetooth and wifi info. Plugs work great but the amount of info it requires to install is downright unacceptable

> 3 dayI dont like how the plugs keep losing the internet connection then I have to press button on side of plug to reconnect. Most of the time this doesnt work. One plug didnt work at all and I asked for a replacement. Instead they sent me an entire box of plugs, 4. Even after I returned the 1 defective plug, I got charged for the replacement plugs. I didnt ask for 4 plugs to replace 1 plug. Not very happy with how this was handled. If you can keep the internet connection with the plugs they do work with Alexa.

> 3 dayTL;DR - It works fine. now for the slightly longer portion of this.... the setup was a royal pain in the behind, it took forever to hop from one configuration application to another, but once you are done with this headache, you can remove the initial configuration app and have Alexa work with the plug. however to this day i havent been able to get google home to work with these, so i dont know where the claims come from that this works with Google home. so just a heads up. and for those who managed to get it to work, i salute you, i just dont have the time to sit there trying to get this to work when it should be a straight forward process. however once they are configured, they work fine and so far no fires

> 3 dayFirst, you must download an app called Cloud Intelligence from a company whose name I cant pronounce but I can only assume is probably located in China. Doesnt exactly inspire confidence. You have to keep the app on your phone, to use the plug, which works with Alexa. Granted, who knows what info Alexa is collecting, but if you simply buy an Amazon brand smart plug, instead, you at least wouldnt have to go through a 3rd party app monitored by them as well as Amazon. You must agree to the software license agreement and some other thing in order to use the service. The agreement says the company can change the agreement on their website, at any time, and they wont send out any other notice. So, in order to know what youre agreeing to, at any given moment, youve got to keep going on the website and, by then, Heaven only knows what kind of information might have been gathered via your phone or wifi by the time you get done reading the new agreement -- no doubt, also in broken English. I could go on, but I am a simple person. Ive got enough problems without risking signing my life away just to get some unknown entity to turn a lightbulb on and off for me. Besides all this, the product, itself, is made in China. For all I know, it was made by somebody who hardly earned a dime while working in some God-forsaken labor camp. Just curious, when is Amazon going to start selling anything worth a crap made in America?? If Id have had any earthly idea Id have to agree to who knows what just to use this thing... My friends, youve got enough problems!
