Greater than one weekI really really wish they had a bundle deal for these on Amazon. Getting these locally is way more, but sometimes you don’t have a choice. Not sure where whoever is reading this is located, but this is a great deal and I always try my hardest to get these off Amazon vs locally. No, It’s not gonna magically hide the smell of SMOKE. BUT! It will help reduce the amount 80-90% when used properly.

> 3 dayLiterally my new favorite thing. This is so much better than shoving laundry fabric softeners in a bottle or a paper towel roll haha... This is the real deal. No more lingering smoke to annoy guests, neighbors, or the cat! This guy is smaller than I thought, its about the size of a avocado, which was much better in my opinion. Saw a few comments about it being slippery... What are you trying to use this thing after you just spanked the monkey? Ridiculous...haha. Everything about this product rocks... I cannot attest to how long one lasts, but I will update when I can. So far I plan on getting many more for myself, for the car, different rooms... Also going to be great for gifts. Lots more of these to be purchased for Christmas giveaway this year. ONLY CON TO THIS PRODUCT: it is hard to create a tight seal when putting your lips inside the device. I find that if I dont want odor or smoke, I need to insert the device and create the seal on the outside. This feels and looks quite strange as the opening is fairly large. The only thing I would suggest about this product is to have and optional attachment where the mouthpiece taper more like a funnel for those who do no care about its portability factor. Example being right now I only use in my house, so the extra few inches it might add to the device would not be an issue. Its possible that tapering too much would restrict enough air flow to make it easy to blow through , but something a tad bit smaller on the mouthpiece end would be nice as an optional attachment. Thanks Smoke Buddy!

Greater than one weekThese used to last a lot longer than a month! Lately the sbs I get have been only lasting a month and some get a funky odor. I realize its holding my lung exhaust and depending on what I ate or vaped, it could taint my filters since its only supposed to filter thc.. imo. I remember having a yellow sb and it lasted well over 6 months, maybe thats when you changed the formula, idk. All I know is its getting hard to find a good sploof like the original smokebuddy made in 08 because when I started smoking we didnt have these, used bounty sheets stuffed in a tp roll. I guess my consumption has gone up considerably since then and I medicate through a tall beaker bong. But Im about ready to get a 6 tent fan with a carbon filter and hang it in my room... by the time I buy 10 of these itll pay for itself... hope some of this helps.

> 3 dayThis device delivers good value for the money. While it doesnt completely eliminate odors (i.e., it is unlikely that youd be able to smoke indoors undetected), it does a pretty good job.

> 3 dayThese work very well. So, why only 4 stars? Well, as some have pointed out, they become very difficult to blow through after a fairly short time in use. Some have suggested placing some cotton balls in the blow end, removing them when the unit begins to clog up. That’s a good idea, as the way this actually works is 2 fold. It has both a paper fiber air filter, similar in appearance to the automotive air cleaner filters of yesteryear, and after the smoke passes through that, it is then passed through activated charcoal. From my experiments with making my own filters, I can attest to the fact that it’s the paper filter that actually removes the visible smoke (resin), as filters I’ve made that used activated charcoal only, even when constructed to route the smoke efficiently & evenly through all of the charcoal, don’t remove visible smoke, at all. So, it would seem that the charcoal is there only to remove smell and possibly any drug elements, such as THC, or nicotine. So, by placing the cotton balls in the blow end, they begin to absorb most of the resin, which is what is making the smoke visible, preventing most of it from getting to the internal paper filter. But, even this method will eventually clog the paper filter element within the unit. There is a solution to this. I take a bottle of 99.9% Iso Alcohol and place it in a deep kettle of water - water as hot as I can get it from my tap, to heat the alcohol up. WARNING - NEVER USE FLAME OR THE STOVE TO HEAT ALCOHOL, UNLESS YOU LIKE SERIOUS BURNS! After the alcohol has had time to become heated, it is then poured slowly, a bit at a time, into the SmokeBuddy. As it will take some time to break through the resin, it won’t take much to fill the unit to the top. At first, it will just sit there. But in a minute, it will begin to flow out the bottom, and it will have a ton of resin in it. I do this over a large bowl. I pour about 8 ounces through the unit. I also use a paper towel to dry off any spilled alcohol at the rim, so I can put my mouth on it and blow the alcohol through. But, it’s important not to do this too soon, as the heated alcohol, being allowed to flow slowly, will absorb more resin then blowing it through. The blowing helps clear out the last of the alcohol, and I only do it after each pour stops running out the bottom, to clear it out for the next pour. You can’t pour in too much at a time due to how slowly it flows through. Try not to overflow it. Once this has been done, leave the unit all day to dry out the alcohol. Blowing through it from time to time will help. If you desperately need to use it before it dries completely, you can, but I try to avoid it. When it’s finished, it will flow almost as well as it did when new, and so far, I’ve not yet been able to use one up to the point that I can’t re-clean it. I’d have given it 5 stars, if the maker had cared enough to make it out of metal, and so that you can unscrew the top to change the paper filter & even replace the charcoal, when needed. Instead, they’ve elected to have us contribute more to pollution, as people will be throwing these plastic bodied units into the trash when they no longer work. As I said, they should have made them out of metal. They would cost more, but they would last forever, with only the filter elements being repurchased and replaced as needed. Far better for the environment & for the customer. There are just WAY too many disposable items being made and sold these days.

> 3 dayI purchased this for a cross country trip where smoke breaks weren’t going to be an option for long legs of the journey. This product exceeded all of my expectations :) I use two different types of vapes and not a single puff of smoke left the device when used - will be purchasing another when this one stops working as expected.

> 3 dayIt filters quite well, both the smoke and scent. Lightweight and easy to carry around, yet very sturdy. The flashlight keychain it came with was really cute. You have to press on the face quite hard to make it light up.

> 3 dayIf there was directions to wash out or if it was a little cheaper it would be worth the money, but having to buy one every 3-4 months at $18 is a little pricey. If only it were about $13.99 or had an option to buy 2 for $25-30. Otherwise, works well for how long it does work. perfect to buy and go to a hotel or something similar.
