> 3 dayEvery year at this time we get ants in our house. The results of living in a rural area with a dry hot climate. My cat is on a prescription diet for his kidneys, and its expensive. I have tried all methods, moats, chalk, peppermint, Windex, you name it! The ants are smart and always manage to find a way to the food. His bowl was crawling with those tiny soldiers invading his food. A few weeks ago I saw this on amazon and thought why not, nothing else has worked! well, for a few weeks now there have been zero ants in his food. I watched and there were ants at the base and they entered but never came up to the food. As I watched, they would walk in circles, back and forth and just seemed Confused as they searched for his food. They knew it was there because he dropped a piece on the floor below and the ants had a feast on that small piece. But...NONE have made their way to the bowl! I no longer have to throw food away and my cat does not have to eat ants. We have the same issue in the kitchen. I really wish they had square or rectangle shaped ones for my kitchen counter to put my canisters on. BUY this item, I am getting more!

> 3 dayI was skeptical but it works. Keeps the ants out. Now invent something that keeps the flies away. The feed bowl wanted to scoot off the platform but I solved that issue by applying some squiggly lines of hot glue to the bottom of the feed bowl that act like grippers.

> 3 dayMostly every summer my kitchen is invaded with tiny ants that go into my cats feeding bowls. I was making moats by placing the dishes in a plate that had some water in them, but the water evaporated quickly and didnt always work. This had worked wonderfully. In fact, I dont know if it is a coincidence, but I see very few ants in the kitchen at all since I started using this.

Greater than one weekThis really works. Keeps the ants out of the pet bowl outside. Just be sure it doesnt touch another surface that the ants can climb up to get to the bowl. The surface isnt non-grip, so I double -stick tape the bowl to the top so it doesnt move. Also, the cat swats at the bowl causing it to fall off. The double-stick tape doesnt allow it to move. No ants.

> 3 dayIt works with no mess of vegetable oil or refilling water. Bought for cat food on porch. Was constantly spraying vinegar water all over the porch to combat ants. From first day of use no more ants! Yea neat and clean answer. Highly recommend.

> 3 daySeems to work fine but won’t be sure until spring when ants are active. To use with 2 small cat food bowls, I had to put some dollar store shelf liner under the bowls to prevent slipping. That said, nighttime visitors include skunks, raccoons, and possums.
