Spigen Rugged Armor Pro Designed for Apple Watch Band with Case for 42mm Series 3/2/1/Original (2015) - Black

I work in a bar setting and already saw the potential to damage the screen; bumping my apple watch against a stainless steel counter or elsewhere. I’m used to wearing g shocks and although the shock protector on the Casio is deeper, this has done the job quite admirably. I wouldn’t subject the watch to the same abuse but I feel the band has helped preserve the unit. My only issue is the breathability of the band so if I wash my hands, which is often, I have to get under the band to dry. A little uncomfortable but not a deal breaker. Haven’t seen how sweat affects the band but I would assume if you wash it after exercise, it would be better. Update: Still holding up well. Don’t see damage from sweat or sanitizer. Had an issue with it causing a rash probably due to moisture and bacteria. This will happen with most bands regardless, just wash it well after sweating and make sure to wear it loose enough to allow some ventilation.

Passed down my Apple Watch Series 2 to my son, who’s been wearing a Mudman G-shock. While no where as rugged as the Mudman it is a reasonable facsimile visually, and is similar in comfort. Wanted to protect the Apple as much as possible, because even with the steel case and unbreakable sapphire glass it has taken some cracks in the corner of the glass over the years I had it. Hoping this will mitigate further damage.

Nice easy to install, not 5 stars because I wish the material was more like rubber. The band is a little stiff! I’ve had for 3 weeks, hopefully it breaks in better. Great face protection.

Comfort wise, the band is fine. I do find frustration with the loop always sliding down and the band popping out. You will have a challenge figuring out how to get the watch to rest on the charge dock (because of the rigidity of the bands). A simple work around is to elevate the charge dock on the edge of a tissue box (for example) so that the bands can drape the sides of the box (lower than the charge dock). The durability... as far as the finish, I was surprised that over spray from Repel mosquito repellent ruined the watch band matte finish (leaving it permanently blotched and unsightly. There’s nothing short of chemical etching that I haven’t tried to “clean” the band from the Repel spray. See pictures. So disappointed because the band looks so trashy now. Worse is, despite the name Rugged Armor, the band / case is not rugged. Do not fool yourself into thinking the band is durable. The Achilles heel of the whole design is the very think plastic above and below the wheel. It will break and on mine has broken. Ive not had my case very long at all. HIGHLY disappointed and a complete waste of my time and money. Its products like this that annoy me (as if the designer / producer just ignores these obvious defects). Despite paying less than $20, I feel suckered and fooled. This is nothing more than just a look of rugged. It is all show and absolutely does not pass.

Excellent quality. Has held up well and protected my watch nicely.

I don’t like the material it’s made from. The band that comes with the Apple Watch breathes well while working out. You don’t really notice you’re wearing a watch. This band is super thick, non flexible, and doesn’t breath well. As soon ass you start sweating, it gets sticky. I understand the plastic around the watch needs to be thick for the protection of the watch itself but, the band needs some help. Maybe something like G Shock would work better.

Decent band the only complaint I have pertains to the extra material that is not used. The small piece to catch and good the extra material tight to the watch doesn’t hold all the time

Take into account that if you are left-handed, this is not for you. It is a single piece so you have to put it inside out and there is nothing comfortable

Very durable for sure have been using the same watch band for over a year and it’s still in great condition and has protected my watch !
