Length is important. I say this, because the other one I purchased didnt quite make it through the moulding thickness and I had to return it for a longer one. This one works fine!

This gas key fits the valve stem and operates it, but it doesnt fit very tightly at all. My other gas keys are a much better fit. This might be a consequence of the universal design which aims to fit both 1/4 and 5/16 valves. You may want to avoid the floppy fit by buying a valve key thats sized exactly for your valve.

What a godsend, without these extensions I would have to reach into my fireplace and being 67 and handicapped its a little hard to do. Thanks for the assistance

This appears to be a universal fit. This fit my gas line for my fireplace with ease and is durable and looks solid. 10/10 will recommend.

We have a gas valve that is deep in the wall in a hidden compartment. Lowes and Home Depot did not have Long valve keys like this. This is exactly what we needed.

My second one of these. The first which was a different brand broke after 4 times! This one is reinforced right below the turn handle, have used it many times and it’s holding up great plus it was half the price of the first one!

Its only been a couple months but so far so good. Snapped my last gas fireplace key and this replacement fits beautifully.
