I wasnt sure if this would work with my fireplace, but it does! I like the longer handle since my key sits a little behind an entertainment center.

Quick delivery. As described. Perfect for replacing my fireplace started key that barely reached from the top of the hearth tile to the mechanism that controls the gas. The added length of the handle is easier to use from a closer position to the start on the hearth. If your starter is on the wall, youll have tor remove it every time you use it because it will fall out.

What can I say about the Stanbroil Universal 8” gas valve key? It successfully turned my gas on… and off. Brilliant! It’s long slender shaft is perfectly balanced and is surprisingly satisfying to hold in your hand. When used properly, it lands on the valve with an ear pleasing thud of metal to metal contact. And the larger portion that you grasp ever so gently between your thumb and index finger provides just the right amount of tactile feedback. I could not envision a better or more satisfying tool to use to turn my gas on … and off. Even my wife found it pleasing. Do yourself a favor and purchase this Stanbroil 8” Universal Gas Valve Key. Its a good value, kind of flimsy but strong enough to last at least a while if not abused. Mine is already slightly bend but works.

I have a Acetylene tank that is about 30 inches high with and 5 rim around the top of the tank protecting the valve. My son lost the key. I tried multiple welding supply shops and online to find a replacement. One supply shop told me that these types of tanks are used a lot by the railroads. I spent 9 months searching for a key, and this was a great replacement
