I am really enjoying this Stanwood Yarn Winder. It was very simple to set up and began to use right away! It winds the skein of yarn very quickly without much effort or strain on wrists. I need to save my hand and wrist strength for knitting and crocheting, so this frees me from having to wind by hand only. I have had too much frustration with yarn getting tangled toward the end of the skein and with this I can catch any problem areas before starting project. I watched You Tube videos for instruction and was completely prepared to use this Stanwood as soon as it arrived. I would recommend it to anyone needing a yarn winder. I believe the quality of this machine is very good and know that I can get replacement parts for it in the future is needed.

I LOVE my new Stanwood Large Ball Winder! It works like a dream. The nylon gears make a humming noise that is not unpleasant and is not grating on the nerves at all. And you can wind a ball/cake of yarn FAST! I am just thrilled with it!!!

I am a yarn Dyer and have been using why I had well past the frustration point. I bought this and have been amazed at how easy to use. All the times I thought my Swift was the issue and it was really the old ball winder.
