I had bought this to put on the edge of my leatherworking desk. I liked it so much that later on, I decided to buy one for my sewing table. Not sure why, but somehow I managed to buy a different manufacturers tape. That other tape didnt last long; it started peeling within a year or two. So I tore it off my table, looked at my old orders in Amazon, and bought this one again. Much sturdier. Excellent product.

I wanted to put a measuring tape on the edge of my work bench so I wouldnt have to pull out the retracting tape measure every time I needed a quick measure of something. And, lo and behold, many someones had anticipated my need. I bought this one because I figured a metal tape would be durable enough to live on the edge of my bench. And it stuck there real good so I have hopes it will survive all my messing about.
