I ordered this item (polyurethane tape), but when the order arrived all three packages were actually the steel version. I thought I had ordered the wrong item by mistake, and Ive gone ahead and used one of the three packages I bought, but in fact the listing here clearly says its the polyurethane tape and not the steel version. Check your order when it arrives.

I used this on the edge of a sewing table and it has saved me so much time fiddling with a regular tape measure.

I was expecting this to peel off my bench pretty quickly but it is sticking. I put it on the working edge and am trying to remember not to slide things into it or hammer on it, but it occasionally happens. So far it has stuck and no edges came up. I did do a good cleaning, including wiping with alcohol before mounting it carefully. Basically lay it where you want it, peel a tiny bit from the end and then peel the tape off at a sharp angle parallel to the tape as you use the other hand to keep it straight and on the table edge.
