Stephen Joseph Kids Umbrella

Finally was able to use this with my daughter. It was rainy and windy and she had no issues holding onto this umbrella. She is 3 so I was nervous with the wind but had no issues. She loves the unicorn design

My 6-year old loves this umbrella and has used it every rainy day and taken it to school every possible day that she could. Im not sure what kind of abuse she places on this umbrella while shes out of my sight, but so far it has survived 5 months of use and still opens and closes like it should. Obviously shes not out in hurricane conditions so the umbrella hasnt had to deal with gale force winds, but under normal rainy conditions it works well.

My 4 year old loved the rainbow on the umbrella and was super excited when she got it. She was just playing around inside the house. Just turned it around enjoying the beauty of her new umbrella. But first day before she went to bed one of the threads which holds the umbrella fabric to one of the corner metals broke off and we had to use a new thread to tie it back through the hole to hold the umbrella the way it was. Bottom line is that, it’s not Sturdy. When you make umbrella for kids you need to ensure the design should be such that sturdiness/durability is given top priorities. This product lacks it if you have a kid who wants to play with umbrella turning it around a bit as part of the excitement of getting a new umbrella.

I bought this for my daughter to replace an umbrella that someone took at school and she loves it. In the words of a 6 y.o. it is the most beautiful umbrella that I have ever seen.

My son loves his very first umbrella and can’t wait to use it! He is 4 years old and it’s just the right size for him, cute and seems good quality, hopefully it will last for the whole school year.

I bought the Stephen Joseph Watermelon Umbrella (and the Butterfly one, under a separate listing) from Amazon and am pretty pleased. They are bright and colorful, sized correctly for a three year-old, and durable enough to survive moderate use. These are replacements for toddler sized umbrellas from another brand (I cant remember which, they make matching raincoats) that broke after one use. The previous umbrellas were vinyl, glued to the thin aluminum spokes. When the spokes were stressed the vinyl tore immediately and the spokes were stressed as soon as any weight was put on the sides of the umbrella. This umbrella by Stephen Joseph is built more like an adults umbrella with safety features for a child. The tip is protected by a plastic ball (I had to re-glue one of them, but it was pretty easy),and the spokes are also protected by sturdy plastic tips. The open/close mechanism is buttonless and easy to engage just by pushing up the center along the shaft. The waterproof nylon material is hooked to the spokes with little thread loops. The kids play with it around the house while its closed; using it as a cane or a big stick or a hook. Its survived this so far, but Ive cautioned them every time I see them playing with it. I think these are built in a reasonable fashion for kids and with very nice designs. Id definitely purchase these again until the girls outgrow them.

The price was right. The colors are nice a bright. I bought for my grandkids to have on rainy days. They love to use them for exploring the outdoors on rainy days. We’ll made product.

I bought this for a baby shower decoration and put a tulip arrangement in the closed umbrella. Was beautiful and then after the shower I took out the flowers for the mom to give her newborn daughter in the future. Well the mom has used this umbrella so many times to keep the sun out of the babies face when walking in the sun. The umbrella is made very well and looks great. I like everything about the umbrella along with the price of it.

Beautiful Umbrella! My kid loves it!!She waits for the rain day to carry it out!

I live in California, hardly rains so bought it for my granddaughter, she was so happy cause we were getting rain the next day so she took it to school and it got stolen.
