> 24 hourI am using this as my art journal. I do mixed media so the heavy weight paper is great. The edges can still curl with the initial wet application ( like gesso) but do flatten after adding my paint, etc. I do not glue pages together; the pages are heavy enough that the mediums and paint do not affect the other side. I will never be able to close it flat because of the added bulk of paper, paint, modeling paste, etc, but I tie a ribbon around it and it adds to the artsy-ness of it. I will purchase another when this one is full.

> 24 hourLays flat, cover bends back on itself. When I want to work large and in watercolor, this is the journal I go for!

> 24 hourI know these are officially for dry media, but I have used sketch books similar to these for many years as journals, and I write with fountain pens, which are not especially wet. In fact, I see I have used several of this model over the last five years, but I think the paper quality has declined a bit in this instance. I am startled to see that the latest version of this book allows significant bleed-through (not complete, but visible) when using a fountain pen. The paper weight is 60 lbs; I recommend something with 75 lb weight; Art Alternatives makes such a book (I have also recently written in them with zero bleed-through with a fountain pen), and it is somewhat less expensive than this one, too.

> 24 hourI am using this for a year long on-line art journaling class. The paper responds well to many different mediums. I love this and will certainly purchase this product again.

> 24 hourI am using this in a journaling class called Draw Your Awesome Year given by Joanne Sharpe. Well be filling the whole book during the year. I love the paper and the size for a years worth of drawings and notes so will definitely be buying more of these. I wish the covers came in more colors. Why do the companies think we all are happy with black??

> 24 hourThis journal was as expected from Strathmore. The paper is thick enough to allow me to use wet or dry but not too much wet. Some paint markers will bleed through.

> 24 hourI like a lot of Strathmores products, but this isnt one of them. It is billed as sketch, and for pencil and ballpoint pen it seems fine. Anything else and it is pretty horrible. Even quickly writing with a brush pen or fountain pen spells trouble on this paper. Its beautifully bound and looks great, but if you want to do anything besides simply pencil, I would look elsewhere. Cansons Universal Sketch for instance can hold up to much (much much much) more than this paper can. Handling it, it seems very nice, but once you start using it, the paper doesnt seem like its the 60# its billed as.
