When I ordered this wire I wasnt sure whether it would be the right diameter, strength, moldiness (a word?), but took a chance according to what was said in the reviews. It is PERFECT! (Ill see if I can figure out how to post a pic of a completed mask. The masks Ive been making are contoured/fitted, have a filter pocket, and a nose wire sleeve so that the wire can be removed for laundering.)

The best hanging wire I have ever used or purchased. I would highly recommend it. Very good quality and extremely sturdy.

good Stuff

This roll of wire has clearly been used, as it was very poorly re-spooled, resulting in a tangled mess thats sticking out everywhere. The label also shows signs of wear / previous use. So without measuring the entire spool, I dont even know if I received the full length of wire (80ft, as advertised). This product should have been sold as used, not as new. All that said, the product itself is great, and I would highly recommend it.

If you find yourself doing your own framing or have a need to frame and hang a large number of pictures, get this wire. It is plastic coated. When used with the recommended tie and wrap method, this framing wire makes for a very professional looking job that is durable and so easy on your fingers. You can find several YouTube videos on the proper wiring method to hang a painting. That method seems to be made for this Softstrand wire. If you are an artist and doing your own framing, your customers will appreciate the quality this wire adds to your work when presented for framing. Softstrand comes in different gauges suitable for a wide range of sized paintings. It is the only wire I will use

This wire actually has a lot of uses! Its terrific for hanging pictures of course - strong, easy to cut and twist. I use it to make a loop on the end of broom handles to be able to hang them up, in the garage on tools for the same reason, Ive secured solar lights to the fence with it and it has come in handy for lots of other craft projects. Ill be ordering this again for sure.
