Dont get me wrong. I really like this tool, and will probably order the 24 also, however...

...so this ruler with the safety lip will definitely save me from losing a fingertip or two. =) Ive used others, but this one is probably my fav. The no-slip foam on the bottom keeps the straight edge from marring my leather too.

This has turned out to be one of the nicest tools I own. Very high quality. Easy to use and very well suited to its purpose. Even the color is great. Highly recommended. I fully intend to buy the same straight edge in other lengths.

I actually bought the 48 and 24 versions to draw the lines to paint an argyle wall for my sons room. These were better than any other yardstick I bought or considered. The soft padded backing also helped it stay in place on the wall as I drew the lines. It worked like a charm and made this wall possible.

This thing can take a beating! Trust me, once you first get it, and see how well Swanson makes their products, you really will not want to use it. It is just a beautiful fire orange. Holding it down to make straight cuts works super well, I dont think I will buy straight edges from any other company!

It is great to have a flat, straight reference edge in the shop. I can finally find the curves in my fences and align cuts better. Good product at a good price.

A fellow leather worker recommended this product after I cut my thumb being careless with my old ruler and knife.

For what I need, it seems very stout and robust.

Nice grippy bottom. Cool color. Finger guard is def a great idea. Id buy it again!
