> 3 dayI have used a calculator like this one for about 12 years. They are solar powered and recently mine stopped working. I had no idea that they used a battery but sure enough, I ordered a battery from Amazon and my old calculator works like a charm,.. So I bought a 2nd one to put in my home office! It is a very good basic calculator ~ so glad TI still makes them!

> 3 dayThis is a great calculator. Its lightweight and about the size of my hand with the fingers spread (I have small hands).Tapping the keys gives feedback (tapping sound and resistance on the keys) so you know youve hit them. Numbers on the keys and on the display are big and clear. display is not back lit, but is very easy to read.

> 3 dayA few years ago I bought a no name solar powered cheap desktop calculator. Worked fine for a while, then the displayed faded. Searched this time for a TI calculator, like I had previously, and lasted more like 20 years. This one uses a battery in addition to solar - appears to be the way to go.

> 3 dayIf you’re ok with the funny looks, the buttons are about as dependable and predictable as they come. I worked with a calculator daily for about a dozen years and this calculator ended up getting duplicated by others around me. When my wife practiced her real wastage exam I was warning her how big of a difference a good calculator makes. She instead got a POS for dirt cheap only to tell me I was right and get one of these. Simple, but reliable. When you push the button the calculator responds… sounds like every calculator would be able to do this, but that is simply not the case.

> 3 dayIve purchased this twice. One for home and one for at work. The kitchen staff kept taking ours (then it disappeared). I dont get paid back for what I take to work but thats okay, I wanted a reliable calculator that works quickly when Im counting the safe and my register. I have not been disappointed yet. Texas Instruments have always been known for the best calculators and they should be recognized as such.

> 3 dayAfter seeing my Moms calculator from the 80s sitting on her desk, in what I assume used to be White (it was a weird yellow discoloration), I decided as a stocking stuffer she desperately needed a new calculator. Came packaged well and I assume is accurate in its mathematic operations.

> 3 dayGood value and easy to read/use. I especially like that the thousands separator is on the bottom, not on the top of the number string. Would buy again.
