> 3 dayIf you need a calculator and you are looking for a good price, this is a calculator that you need. I was struggling in math and I needed ones to break down fractions easily and this calculator has it. Highly suggest buying if you are a student, for a child, etc.

> 3 dayI am using this calculator for my Finance class for my Masters Degree which by the way is an approved and required calculator by the University for this class due to the 5 white buttons we are using, and it does not COMPLETELY clear out your work. Professors even mention you have to actually RESET the entire calculator AFTER every problem. It continuously gives you different numbers when entering the same numbers in an equation even after resetting. Trying to solve mile long equations with this calculator is beyond frustrating and is causing students who use this calculator to fail their proctored exams. Horrible technology!!!

> 3 dayBelow is the review Id written before. Its been a few months since I used this calculator so Im going to forget some things. But I have to take back something I said about it regarding exact answers & adjust my rating as well. The key just above the enter key (<>) will give an exact answer if used at the end of your entry. So that complaint is mostly gone. Id like to be able to set a mode where this is the default behavior, but the button will do in a pinch. But I still scratch my head at programming the calculator to return exactly what you give it in that respect. It isnt intuitive. But I think I was unfair in my rating before so I wanted to update. I decided to keep the calculator around to do personal accounting & random calculations on Summer break. It has worked out very well for that & the larger display lets me look at a few lines at once. The form factor and weight are desirable compared to the more powerful calculator. For its intent, its a solid little piece. It just has little items that differ enough from the TI graphing calculators to add frustration. For me anyway. I wont use it again in class or on tests unless forced. I may carry it as a small, light backup, but it will be a last resort. Snip: To give an example, if I give this calculator the task of computing 2 root 2, it gives me back 2 root 2 as an answer. In order to get beyond something I already knew, I have to do something like 2.000000000000000000001 root 2. Thats pretty annoying and clutters the screen. I and a few others have tried working through all the settings & cant get out of this mode. Furthermore, it only does it when it feels like it. As this is the ONLY calculator Im allowed to use in calc-based physics, I find this deeply annoying - so much that I cant bring myself to muster another star to keep the lone one company. Other than that, I appreciate that its laid out somewhat like the 84 & 89. The solar thing is nice & it doesnt take up much room. But the little niggles are so aggravating that unless Im in an exam, I have my 89 sitting right next to this one at all times...only use it so I know whats gonna happen to me on exams. After this series of classes, I suspect I may use some physics to destroy this thing properly.

> 3 dayJust what I was looking for!! My old TI-83 finally died, but I dont need something so sophisticated for daily use, but I REALLY like the multi-line feature. So far Ive only confirmed that it has that feature, just like the TI-80s, which was my primary desire. *Havent tested anything else out* The cover doesnt slide, it snaps on the front and only covers the button; doesnt wrap around the sides like the larger calculators do. I dont know if the solar-powered battery means longer life; my old calculator ran on AAA batteries and lasted 10-14 yrs. Ill update if I find flaws/issues.

> 3 dayThis was the wish a high school student needed for her or her class. The list was provided by a non-profit organization. In fact, all school supplies I purchased from Amazon this year and previous years come from choosing a school student. This is the best feeling one can have in helping kids in anyway way we can. I encourage others to do whatever they can.

13-04-2025This is a very good price (especially for Prime Members) for the TI-30XS, the only model allowed for use during the GED test. Those who take the computer-based test will be able to use an on-screen emulation of the TI-30XS during most of the math test as well as during parts of the Social Studies and Science tests. If your local testing center allows physical calculators into the testing area, this is the only kind they will accept. Its important to get the calculator early on during your test preparation and learn how to use it with ease before attempting the test. There are some things to know that you dont want to be trying to figure out during the test. Practice with the physical calculator will prepare the test taker to use the on-screen emulation, which functions exactly like the real thing. After you pass the GED you then have a useful and powerful calculator for use in your personal life or possibly in some college math classes, if college is in your plans.

> 3 dayI bought this because it is the only calculator that the GED allows you to use for the GED exams. I prefer having the physical calculator as opposed to using the virtual one on the exam. Learning how to use it effectively is very helpful, especially with the math exam. I used it most of the time whenever the my GED study book and test allowed. It cuts down on calculating time, which is important with the time limits.
