There are two things that stand out about these hooks; 1) the threaded sham is longer than your typical hook. This provides adequate length to penetrate throught sheetrock into the stud or joist, preventing these from pulling out. 2) the spring mechanism prevents whatever the hook is holding from slipping off under any condition. Id definitely recommend them.

These hooks are great! Ive used similar C-style hooks before in my garage. I moved and in the new garage a standard C hook wasnt holding things reliably (theyd fall off) so I wanted to try an enclosed hook. I got these and they are awesome. The spring enclosure is far higher quality and feels more durable than I expected or was even hoping for. These are really well assembled! The hook size is a bit big for holiday lights, though you could use them for that.

Hooks themselves are very nice quality. Comes with 20 hooks and drywall anchors if using that way. The spring loaded clip works like a carabiner and has a good amount of spring so it will definitely hold anything you dont want coming loose in the wind. State that they are rated for 40 lbs and they seem robust enough to match the sellers stated rating.

Good hooks. Always needed for a lot of things in household. Like the idea with spring stopper but...if these hooks are mounted up high, you will not be able to just take the thing off the hook. You will need steps. I took it to set up decoration lights around the porch, so those stoppers will work good not to get lights blown away with wind. And price wise, it is ok.

These hooks are well made and function as they should. They are great for Christmas lights or anything that could have a tendency to come off the hook.

Hooks feel sturdy and hold well in wood. You should pre-drill pilot hole through, theyre tough to screw in otherwise as these hooks are hand tighten. Using plyers to tighten them on was more cumbersome so I opted to just put on gloves and finger tighten them on. The clip is nice to make sure whatever youre hanging doesnt come loose.

These hooks are good quality and hold up to being installed outdoors. They are sturdy and take being torqued into harder materials with ease. They look good and hold a good amount of weight.
