> 3 dayTLDR: Great hooks for plants, larger light setups etc. but definitely a bit big for smaller string lights. The hooks are so large in comparison to these kind of lights that it is comical looking! But these are still great for larger items that need hanging! We originally got these to hang some fairy lights from our ceiling in our living room, but honestly they are a bit to big for these lights and it makes them looks a little silly. However using globe lights or large string light sets outdoors these would be perfect. They are made nicely and seem sturdy. I love that they close shut in case we do use them for more outdoor items so we won’t need to worry about anything blowing away! Definitely worth getting if you have lots of larger things to hang but may want to hold off if you have small lights etc and get a bit smaller size!

> 3 dayPredrill starter holes for these hooks and installation will go much easier. We ended up snapping off two of them trying to get them screwed in deep enough. Says theyll hold 40 pounds. Well see. Im hanging a flowering pot on one of them.

> 3 dayI had never seen these before, so when I saw them on Amazon I jumped. Im not disappointed. I thought they might be cheap or something, of not be up to the task, but they work great! I use them to help with decorative lighting on my back patio. Im sure Ill come up with other uses for them, as well. They have terrific utility. Highly recommended!

> 3 dayFor uses like hanging string lights to a wood surface, these are very practical. Having hung lights with regular hooks I can really appreciate the spring loaded closure. It keeps the wire trapped so that it cant fall off when blown around by wind or just accidentally pulled. And its easy to remove without having to remove the hook. The hooks themselves are pretty strong so they will hold on well when screwed into a wood surface. I wish I knew about these sooner. I hope this helps. Thanks for reading and liking.

> 3 dayHooks feel sturdy and hold well in wood. You should pre-drill pilot hole through, theyre tough to screw in otherwise as these hooks are hand tighten. Using plyers to tighten them on was more cumbersome so I opted to just put on gloves and finger tighten them on. The clip is nice to make sure whatever youre hanging doesnt come loose.

> 3 dayI love that these hooks have latches on them! They seem to be made of quality materials and feel very sturdy. They were easy to install and now my Christmas lights will stay put! The latches are sturdy and spring loaded. I highly recommend!

> 3 dayGood hooks. Always needed for a lot of things in household. Like the idea with spring stopper but...if these hooks are mounted up high, you will not be able to just take the thing off the hook. You will need steps. I took it to set up decoration lights around the porch, so those stoppers will work good not to get lights blown away with wind. And price wise, it is ok.

> 3 dayThese are great hooks for lights! I really like the little clasp so the string won’t fall off when it gets windy.

Greater than one weekThere are two things that stand out about these hooks; 1) the threaded sham is longer than your typical hook. This provides adequate length to penetrate throught sheetrock into the stud or joist, preventing these from pulling out. 2) the spring mechanism prevents whatever the hook is holding from slipping off under any condition. Id definitely recommend them.

> 3 dayThese hooks are sturdy and fairly easy to install in pine and fir, but a pilot hole is helpful in harder wood. the hooks will hold small hanging plants, solar powered lanterns, and I have two hooks mounted on a bookcase by the door to hold keys. I am planning on using the rest of the hooks in the package in the garage to hold tools at the ready.
