My first time using this type of butt connector and they work well. The only problem I experienced was when I left the heat gun on the same spot a little too long and the insulation melted through. I attribute this to user error and my first time using. Otherwise, these connectors are perfect for my boat trailer.

Havent used it yet put that plastic case that theyre in sure does stay closed good you actually fell twice on the floor and I was expecting to see connect is all over the floor it stayed closed so far very impressed

Only reason for 4 out of 5 stars is that out of the 60 connectors I used yesterday about 4 of them the heat shrink slid out of place on the actual metal connector upon crimping
