The TICONN heat shrink butt connectors are a handy item to have on hand for miscellaneous automotive or electronic repairs. In my case I bought these to mend the wiring for the cargo light on my older pick-up and so far so good. The butt splices crimp like any other butt splice but then with a little encouragement from a heat gun the outer heat shrink tube contracts and seals the crimp for very good water resistance.

Easy to use with basic hand crimp tool and heat gun

Good product, but heat shrink plastic is thick. Not a problem with heat gun on HI but Id hate to do this with hair drying.
