Easy to install as any other outlet. However, after about two months the USB-C port stopped working. The USB-A works fine. Disappointed to have spent so much on an outlet that has now lost the functionality I bought it for over a standard $3 outlet. Going forward I will probably stick to established brands such as eaton or leviton.

Installing these as a replacement to the original electrical outlet is a great upgrade that also gives charging availability for Phones/tablets & other battery operated devices that need the regular USB plug or Type C plug.

I like the fact that I no longer need to use a charger for my phone or tablet. Being able to now just plug the charging cable into the socket on this outlet/charger simplifies the use of these devices.

I bought 5 thinking Ill throw them in strategic places around the house where I could plug my laptop into without the wall wart .. except I was too hasty and didnt read that it will NOT charge a type-c laptop. Primary reason for buying is gone. Well, at least I know new devices - phones, iPads etc are probably going to usb3 type c so go begin to replace standard outlets on kitchen island. After pulling out standard outlet, notice that a) its in a series so 2 cables to deal with, and b) the box is SUPER SHALLOW .. and the top greener .. its twice the depth of a standard outlet, and wont even fit in the box - which has to be shallow as its already flush to the inside of the island which has drawers etc and cant not go any deeper. Then I look at wall outlet candidates and realize most if not all will have 2 wires to deal with, and with the wires coming in and getting stuffed into a standard work box, this unit is a REAL tight fit .. so best be prepared to do a lot of wire reworking and possibly replacing the work boxes as well if theres room to. Right now Im not sure the effort is worth the gain or the $ for these and am thinking of returning the other 4 unopened.

The Tamper Resistant feature of this outlet is VERY POORLY DESIGNED as it requires an excess of 15+ pounds of force just to insert a regular plug which led me to believe the product was broken at first. The electronics work fine with the outlet yet I would still warn people away from this product as it defeats the purpose of an outlet if you cant plug stuff into it without a struggle.

Outlet was very easy to install. No clearance issues in standard one gang box. Charges great. Nice to have the USB C for faster charging.

It charges my phone with no power puck. It charges a macbook pro but will not keep it charged under heavy processing loads

Like: works very well. Replaces charging cubes Dislike: limited space between USB and outlets, limiting what can be plugged in.
