El disco duro llegó en el tiempo estimado, en buen estado. Me gusto en el formato en el cual viene formateado (exFat), el tamaño, el color y por supuesto la capacidad (2 TB).

I bought this drive expecting a solid state drive because that is what is listed in the product description. However, as soon as I plugged this drive in I could feel it spinning. So I did some digging for reviews online and it turns out that this is for sure not an SSD. Im very disappointed. Aside from that, the storage reports as 1.8 TB (which is expected), and it does connect without issue to both my PC and MacBook Pro. Ill keep the drive, as the price is good, but I wish I hadnt been lied to by the product description.

Love the flexibility this product offers, Im able to plug it into Phone, iPad, or PC and preserve the quality of the photos. Im at a point of confusion and a bit of frustration but Id still recommend this to others as its portable, convenient and serves its main purpose. Please approach the rest of commentary with the understanding that Im very new to photo storage and upgraded from Google photos to this toshiba hard drive to preserve my raw photos. I have minimal understanding of hard drive technology and specs. My challenge is.....data transfer takes a lot longer than I anticipated/hoped. Its excruciatingly slow trying to open, view, and organize photos on my iPad. So much so that on an 11 hour flight, I wasnt able to accomplish anything. Its faster with my laptop, which makes sense to this non tech expert. That being said, its still really pretty slow and laggy when reading it. Transfer of photos from SD card to hard drive took a pretty long time, I did it in 2 phases, maybe 30 gb each time. Would love to figure out the math on what I should expect that transfer to take, maybe my expectations were too high. I dont know anything about specs, I wish I had before I bought and wish I did now. I assumed that if it can STORE 2TB of data, that it should have no problem reading 74 gb worth of items at a fair speed so I can organize them into folders. As I simply view them on my laptop, It also doesnt seem to keep them loaded as I scroll down, and it is an arduous process to group them. Maybe Im meant to transfer the photos to the computer first and look at them there, and then transfer them back? Is that how to make this work better? Ill be doing some research in my spare time. Biggest complaint - if it is such a difficult task to open up and load all the photos at once in the main folder where they default, can there be an easier way to group them into separate folders to reduce this pain point? Maybe an auto folder based on date, or all photos from 5000-6000 in one. Maybe Ill look into a software that organizes them as this is painful. I dont know if it is possible to organize the photos ahead of time from the SD card before transferring when on the go - or if I should just rethink my process all together. Other context - Ive confirmed my laptop processing capabilities are not the issue, it is the specs of the hard drive (confirmed by tech support from laptop team). HP Elitebook, new in last 5 years.

Like it disconnected by itself, if it’s slightly gets bump and it takes longer then i expected I guess because it’s not a ssd but I don’t think it’s worth over $100 more like $50 but i haven’t seen if It actually works yet. I only backup everything on it. I will update when I checked everything. It does give you your whole 4Tb

This drive stopped mounting on my mac after 5 months. Eventually, I was finally able to revive it by resetting the VRAM. Before I figured that out, I visited Toshibas website to initiate a warranty return, but I was stuck in a circular loop, and I couldnt complete my RMA request. So the alleged 3 year warranty is basically useless.

I have used this hard drive as a backup of my computer and it has performed well for several months. Time will tell if it lasts for months or years to come.
