I used this wire for railings on a deck just feet from the Puget Sound, near Seattle. It was easy to use with stainless swage connectors and five months later shows no signs of rust from the saltwater. I’m very impressed so far.

Its plenty strong enough to raise and lower 100-200 lb loads. The wire is not too big to fit into pulleys that are designed for 250-300 lb weights. This cable wire worked perfectly for our project. Strong and well-made.

Ive done quite a few cable rail systems which were mostly 1/4 or 3/16 cable so I wasnt sure if 1/8 would look good. As you can see in the pics it looks great. Im pretty sure the 2 spools they sent were 600 feet each.

This steel cable isn’t that strong. It broke with just tension. Wouldn’t not recommend for anything with even a 100lbs.
