I use this torch with mapp gas to remove extremely stuck seat post. I have removed about 20 of seat posts. It takes me about 5-10 minutes. This work very well. It could save me a lot of time. This torch is lower flow than other torch. I have used the turbo torch. The flame is hotter.

I used this product twice. The ignitor worked perfect the first time. I tried to use it today would only light one time gave up trying.

This tool was always with me as a skilled trades person -- or within easy access --- I owned 4 at one time(TS7000), one down stairs, one in the motorhome (also used to start campfires ), one in the garage , and one in my tools to go bucket for any plumbing jobs.

My torch worked fine for about 20 minutes.., I laid it down for about an hour to get lunch.., When I came back, the propane cylinder was ice cold and I could hear a leak from a hole under the trigger. No idea if it was something I did or a problem with the torch. I called customer service and after a brief explanation, the agent said he would send a new one.., He did advise me NOT to store the torch with it connected to the gas cylinder, as the instructions state. Customer service sent a new one priority UPS. Bernzomatic customer service is first class!!

I bought this because when at BBQs there is always wind here that even with a butane lighter will prevent you from being able to light your fires. I also use it to light the smoker tube full of pellets quickly and keep it burning. This is quick and simple and has a few different safety measures to keep things safe. I mount it on a green bottle of propane because I have them and no need to buy the different bottles unless you need hotter applications. You can shutoff or regulate the gas with the black knob. I turn this off to prevent any gas from coming out when I walk away from it. It also has a shutoff by twisting the yellow igniter. This keeps it from clicking and letting out any gas. Both together keep the kids from grabbing it and playing with it before I could catch them. Is it totally child proof no, but neither is a lighter and this works for me now that mine are older and know better. I have used this over the last month on multiple occasions lighting burners, smoke tubes, charcoal, and other items in high wind. I will purchase again.

this is a great torch. it works every time, can stay on for a long time without damaging itself (if properly ventilated), and is one of the most reliable models available.
