I bought this to have convenient outlets on my workdesk, using vertical space on a rack rather than clutter in the work area. I chose this for the basic design. I only needed the front facing outlets, not any special voltage/surge control. The construction is sturdy. The internal wiring is nicely done for something designed for easy factory assembly. I got to see it taking things apart to remove the clear plastic cover from the master switch. I agree with other reviewer that the green power LED is a bit bright. The power strip has been handy as intended. I am happy with the purchase.

Works well. But I have had issues with the main power switch failing. Keep your receipt, Tripp Lite will replace the unit if it fails.

This is exactly what I needed for my garage workbench. I made a custom bracket to match the wall cabinets & flush mounted it beneath the upper cabinet, directly over the work surface. The rear outlets provided a clean out of sight connection for under cabinet lighting, cordless drill chargers, 2 - 12v DC power supplies. Leaving me with 6 front facing outlets to use for power tools or whatever else I can find. My kids really liked the protective cover over the power switch. They thought I made that too but I had to let them know, thats what you get when you do your homework & buy a quality product. Ive used Tripp Lite products for many years & this, like all the rest, is a quality product.

It is a surge suppressing power strip, so I am not sure when the surge part will get tested or if I will know. But as with most Tripp Lite products, it is built well. We installed in a commercial facility to power connectivity gear and it completely met our needs.
