Ubiquiti UAP-AC-LITE UniFi AP AC LITE 802.11ac Gigabit Dual-Radio PoE

After adding 13 LIFX bulbs, coming home with my phone would usually kick one off the included wifi in my modem. Well NOT ANYMORE! Ubiquiti fixed it all right up and never had a light lose connection again. Finally enjoying my smart home as it should be! Love it, thanks Ubiquiti!

Was recommended this from IT at work to resolve my weak signal at home over 5ghz. Set up was fun it comes with wall mounting materials along with the mount as well. There is a provided poe adapter(US). I recommend to make sure 2.4ghz at 20 for bandwidth and 5ghz at 40 for bandwidth. For some its a no brainer but for others having issues hope it helps. The phone app is annoying but fine when it works. The recommended solution resolved my issue changing settings you may also need to rescan the qr code to redue the set up. Speeds are high for wifi and latency is oddly less then my previous wired set up. 450 up and 25 down with 9-15 ms on speedtest (spectrum).

Overall once this is set up there is nothing to it, but Im a little disappointed in the lack of instruction. It is confusing whether you need to use the controller on PC or the mobile app for setup, and once you figure out you only need to use the app if you only have one device, its not clear where you go to find certain settings. For a commercial-grade product, the settings are pretty light in the mobile app. Overall, it works flawlessly once set up, so I cant complain too much. I just wish the product came with better instructions or at least a larger manual on their website.

You can spend more, but why? These are easy to configure and so affordable. Ive installed them in dozens of locations. Perfect for the small to medium business. Even homeowners should consider these and an EdgeRouter X instead of the consumer junk routers.

Im a huge fan of ubiquiti gear and I added this little guy to my setup. So far it works great and the range is pretty damn good for how small it is. It also has fast wireless roaming so I can wonder about my house and always have 5 bars of wifi signal. It comes with a Gigabit Poe injector but I used it with my 24 port Poe switch. The only complaint I have is I wish there was a way to dim the LED ring around it at night because it lights up a whole room with the blue glow. Hopefully that will be in the next update on the controller.

I purchased my first UAP-AC-LITE based on an Ars Techica review (Amazon wont publish links, so just search for Ubiquiti on Ars). These are not for everyone, as they are very powerful, and require a management app be installed on a machine. However, if you want a pro-quality AP at a reasonable price, the UAP-AC-LITE is an excellent choice. I just finished hard-wiring it into the ceiling using its provided PoE injector. I plan on getting rid of all of my old 802.11n gear, as I now have two UAP-AC-LITEs that will probably cover my entire house (3000 sq. ft., three levels).

Im a Ubiquii fan. Easy to setup, easy to manage and they just work great. I got a bunch of AC-Pro access points to cover a couple of building with WiFi. BUT, one part of the building is set off and didnt get a good signal. Only a couple of people there.with modest bandwidth needs and the AC-Lite made a good solution. Of course its PoE (power over Ethernet) so only one cable needed. Saves time and money. Because it was the only Prime in stock I got one form Amazon Warehouse model, but that one came DoA. No bad on Uniquiti. I just rolled the dice and lost this time. Kudos to Amazon for an easy return. This is the only failure Ive had with dozens of Ubiquiti APs and switches. A new one I got worked perfectly if later than planned. I use a cloud key to manage the network.and the management interface is excellent. Youll either need a cloud key for use the pure ubnt cloud option. If you dont need 3X3 Mimo or the higher speeds of the AC-Pro the lite is a good option. Couple that with the consistently excellent management and easy setup of all the Unifi components and its a 5 star winner for me.

Okay, new to unifi, having to manually update the firmware is a bit of a learning curve. Support is awesome! Love the free management interface!

Works better than my other WIFI Router. Ill replace that as soon as I can with another one of these.
