> 3 dayOne happy benefit of working at home is that I can listen to music anytime I want to. The writing muse often appears accompanied by a soundtrack. And I can be mobile: I spend most of my time in my home office, but I can also take the laptop into the living room or bring my iPad onto the back patio. ...Dont hate me. Most of the time, however, I rely on the audio built into the computer, tablet, or phone. While I have a brag-worthy audio/video setup in the living room, I cant really hear it from my office and certainly not from outside. So I was quite pleased when Amazon Vine offered me this Wonderboom Super Portable Waterproof and Shockproof Bluetooth Speaker. Im even happier with it, now that Ive used the speaker for a few weeks. Despite a product name that sounds like it was invented after the marketing team had a few too many beers, this Bluetooth speaker really is portable and it sounds good. And by portable I mean it has a little loop on the top, which you can grab with a finger along with the armload of other stuff youre carrying to the back patio. While I didnt intentionally drop it to test how truthful it is about being shockproof, it seems sturdy enough. The volume is managed from your device, not from the speaker; it certainly went as loud as I wanted, but truthfully that isnt very much. (Im sitting right next to the speaker, after all.) It promises 86 decibels of 360-degree sound, in case that helps you. I know its one of the speakers distinctive features, but I didnt test the Wonderbooms waterproof promises. Sorry. While I suppose I could give it a dunk in my pool, Id be doing so for your benefit, not mine. (Swimming isnt an audio sport, in my opinion.) I do have a few quibbles. The all-black finish is kind of cool, and looks like a Death Star egg (I mean that in a good way). But the black-on-black makes it a bit hard to find the on/off switch in low light (such as my office, when the only illumination is the computer screen). Theres a little bump your finger can recognize, but Id prefer a red dot or some other visual marking. Bluetooth setup was as easy as its supposed to be; you really dont even need instructions. That said, once connected to my iPad it didnt offer itself as an option to other devices; it may be a one at a time connection, which is slightly irritating. The speaker turns itself off automatically, if it hasnt been used in a while (15 minutes? 30? I didnt time it). Thats okay and surely addresses battery issues (I have not yet investigated what it takes to replace them). But I would not mind an optional app that gives me control over such things. Still: I like the speaker. Its definitely worth your consideration.

> 3 dayGreat little speaker with big sound. I actually had to turn it down the first time I used it, and that was outside on a windy day. This is a great value, and I might get one for my office.

> 3 dayOverall I like it, compact and light, the battery lasts for a decent amount of time. Sound quality is pretty good and I can hear clearly what is being said or sang.

> 3 dayThe bass sounds really good. It doesnt allow phone calls which is perfect for me because I find it annoying to speak through the speaker anyways. It has gotten wet and it hasnt caused problems. Its loud which i love. But it dies pretty quickly. I would say like 3-4 hours battery life. Sad.
