Two functions in one product: Circuit breaker finder and GFCI tester. Fairly easy to use, but it does require some adjustments on the sensitivity using the adjusting knob on the scanner. Nine-volt battery is included, but not connected. Be careful when opening the battery cover as its tough to remove and will go flying if you are not tightly holding the cover and the rest of the scanner. Use gloves with a rubber grip for easier opening. A nice case with a zipper closure, but it could be improved with a label so one knows whats inside it. Since the case it black, its difficult to use a marker on it and the bumpy texture makes it hard for any white marker or adhesive-backed label to stick. Works well for plug-in / outlet circuits, but not for wall switches or screw-in outlets. Adapters for these sorts of outlets would be an excellent addition. Directions are well written but printed on very thin, flimsy, onion-skin paper. The paper is very easy to tear, and will be useless the first time it gets wet. I suggest taking an image of the directions, scanning them or both. Also, it would be nice if the vendor added a QR code on the scanner for use and care directions -- and used better quality paper. There is some sort of bar code on the scanner, but its not a QR code. Made in China. Reasonably well priced at about $28 at the time of our review.

UNI-T AC Circuit Breaker Finder with Integrated GFCI Outlet Tester AC 90-120V USA Plug + Adjustable Sensitivity Beeper Indicattion+ Flashing LED Light this is a sweet little gadget! Wish I had one of these when I was still doing remodeling work. Back in the old days youd have to plug in a light, 5hem hollar over to your buddy wife for kid, generally from the basement, hey! did it go out yet? Nope. Not yet... None of that nonsense with this little guy. Basically no problems getting it to work You start at the highest sensitivity and it did beep on about 4 circuit breakers then you dial down the sensitivity and then it didnt beep at all then you dial it up a just a little bit and then it beeps on just one breaker. brilliant. Just brilliant. One thing I did notice though is I have a power strip plugged into a power strip plugged into another power strip and I put the transmitter into that last power strip and that did not show up at the panel. So it does seem To be better if you plug the transmitter directly to a wall outlet. Would absolutely recommend this.

We have a home built in 1959. The breaker box has a few labels, but they mostly identify the 220 circuits for the stove top, oven, dryer and water heater. As for the rest of the circuits for lights and outlets, few of them are marked and Ive found a couple of them marked wrong. This works best with two people so you dont have to keep running back and forth. The sending unit is plugged into an outlet and the receiving unit is passed over the circuit breakers. When you have the active circuit, the receiving unit lets you know. Once you have gone through your whole house, there is never again that need to flip circuits on and off trying to find the right ones.
