Greater than one weekThis thing works perfectly. Im using it to feed a scannerradio.com feed for a local PD. Yes, its an incredible under utilization for a scanner like this, but Im providing a service to my neighbors and thats okay for me. Either way, its one of the least expensive scanners that can do what Im doing, and I find it works great. Word of caution, scanning correctly can actually be kind of difficult to get setup correctly. Its not really meant for people that dont have some computer-type skills, or someone available to them that can help set it up.

> 3 dayIt is a good scanner, as all the Uniden scanners are. Has the close call feature, made for narrow band, and is easy to program from the keyboard. Unfortunately I have been unable to find the programming software on their website. It claims that you can download it but the link address has nothing for a BC75XLT. Maybe it is available somewhere else. I would give a 5 star rating if this software was available.

Greater than one weekI do like my scanner..I have been a Scanner enthusiast for 40 years, back when they took crystals you had to buy for an additional 5 bucks..I am from Chicago and its great if you live in a big city, Now I am in a different state, in a rural area and travel in a 150 mile radius as a 24/7 service technician so I like to catch the action...Its a little different out here as the bigger municipalities use a trunking system on a higher frequency then this particular scanner..However the stuff I can pick up is clear and I LOVE how you can hook up to you PC and program it...!

Greater than one weekThis was a last-minute purchase for a Nascar race. The scanner arrived in just two days, with no expedited shipping. I have used several other scanners in the past, and their programming and use were not intuitive at all. This is not the case with the Uniden radio. With just a few minutes in the manual, I was able to quickly program over 75 channels and, more importantly, able to easily transition from one to the other. Once you get the hang of the tri-function knob on the top, its a piece of cake to change channels, adjust squelch, and adjust volume. Great value for the money.

> 3 dayI purchased this model to replace an aging Radio Shack scanner I have to listen to military aircraft. I bought it in Nov, but didnt get to opening it until Jan. Upon trying to load the higher UHF frequencies I found out this model doesnt handle those frequencies. It was on the box, but I wish it was called out in the details here on Amazon. The fact I waited so long to open my return window had also close. And because most Police Departments have gone digital I cant even use it to listen to them.

> 3 dayI bought this to replace my old Bearcat scanner with 200 channels. I am a crew chief for a race team in SCCA so I need a scanner that I can lock down a channel and adjust the volume with out looking at it. This unit has volume, squeak, and SEL all on one knob, just last week on Homestead I had to adjust the volume and it change the channel not the volume. Bottom line if you use this to list to the track in one ear and your driver in the other ear, this is not the unit for you.

> 3 dayRegardless of a lot of the negative remarks about it, I gave it a try. I am extremely happy with it. I did complete the setup via PC and Internet. It was easy as could be. I would highly recommend this scanner to anyone looking for a reasonably priced hand held scanner. Also you can easily find the nondidgital repeter channels for any of the digital channels and it is only milliseconds lag time. Great buy I ordered the used item and it looked like it was never opened prior to me receiving it.

> 3 dayThis scanner is rather simple, but still packs quite some features in this small package. Irrespectively of what others may think, personally I read the enclosed instructions and in 5 minutes was able to program the frequencies I wanted. And if I had a question, I did find the answer inside. Please note that this scanner only works with analog systems, it will not work with digital or more sophisticated networks. I use it to listen to ATC with no problems at all, and as a bonus it only uses two batteries! If you expect a preprogrammed scanner that will work right out of the box, this is not the one for you. Overall, for people looking for a simple, affordable analog scanner, into which to program a (known) list of frequencies, this one is definitely recommended.

> 3 dayWell built and feature rich. Interface is a bit clumsy and unfriendly but they fit a lot of features into this little guy so thats to be expected. Do check and police/fire frequencies in your area of interest to make sure they are included in the ranges this scanner is designed for.
