Easy to replace and fits, almost the same.

I noticed our vacuum hose had some holes in it from general wear and tear. I went to the Shark website to order a factory replacement, but they were out of stock with no ETA. So, to Amazon I went and came across this exact replacement unit, for less than half the price of the factory version.I was a little hesitant, based on some of the other reviews, but figured I would give it a shot since I didnt have many other options. THE GOOD: The unit installed super quick and easily and worked perfectly (I have suction again!). The cost for this unit is a great value, even if it only lasts half as long as the last one. THE BAD: Nothing really BAD, however, I do wish the hose was the same length as the original, instead of slightly longer. It sags a bit when in the upright position, so it doesnt look as clean. And, the plastic definitely feels cheap, compared to the factory part. As others have shown in their reviews, I wont be surprised if/when the release tab breaks off. But, so far, so good.

My original hose started to tear….reducing suction greatly. I bought this as a replacement….it’s very very close to the original. It works as it should….the hose isn’t quite as heavy or as long, but not by much. All in all, for less than $30, it works great. It’s the same exact lavender color, etc. probably couldn’t tell except side by side. Very pleased.

Bought this to replace my cracked hose. It does the job but the fit isnt as tight as the original so theres a whistling type noise when in use. You could probably use tape to help make it more air tight and the noise would go away. Overall it works fine.

I had read the reviews on this replacement hose as well as the reviews from other sellers on probably this exact same hose if not similar and the more common complaint was that the replacement hose that people received was discovered to be much longer than the original. HOWEVER, I made my order and found that it appears to be the same length as the original. Overall Ive been using this new hose religiously for the past few weeks now and I have no complaints. I appears to be the same quality and has the same suction from what I can tell. Id recommend buying from this seller.

I took our vacuum into a vacuum repair shop because the hose was splitting. The repairman was super nice and told us we could purchase this part on Amazon and it is easy to replace. We purchased the replacement hose and it is super easy to replace. I appreciate the repairmans honesty. The part works great. The suction is so much better and we are extremely happy. The reason I gave this 4 stars is because the attachments are not as tight fitting as the previous, but I think I can put the magic duct tape around the attachment where it fits into the hose and hopefully it fits tighter. i havent tried it yet, but it sounds good.

Ive had this for a couple of weeks now and seems to be working fine. I was glad it was available since mine had a couple of bad holes in the hose. I gave it 4 stars as I was really hoping the hose would be a little longer, as well as be more flexible. It really doesnt seem much longer than the original one. Plus it is still very taut and not flexible which makes it hard to use the hand tools without tipping over the machine. Thats the one big design flaw by Shark.

My Shark Navigator is the best vacuum Ive ever owned! I have 2 very large, hairy dogs, and after 7 years, my Shark is still doing a good job. The motor is still good and has not lost any suction, which is usually what determines whether or not I get rid of a vacuum. Ive replaced the beater bar and belt 1 time, the filters several, and the hoses a couple of times. Replacement is easy and inexpensive.
