I had purchase this after I thought my other was bad. It was the filter. The other sponge turned the water pink. I washed it thoroughly before placing it in the tank. It made the water come out much clear.

I use these filters in addition to a canister and a hang on the back filter on a 75 and 50 gallon aquarium. The beneficial bacterial thrive in these sponge filters.

I can only assume that its working well, it has lots of bubbles coming out so I guess its doing its job. Ive never used one of these before, but it almost seems too simple to work! I have a hang on back filter as well, so this is just meant to help out. So far I am pleased.

This a big sponge filter,much bigger than I expected.I hooked it up to help me cycle a tank but now its in storage until I need it again.Thanks!

These are fantastic

I use this in a Salt Water QT tank and I feel much better knowing I have that extra bit of oxygen in there to counter balance the various medicines I need to treat the fish with that often strip the water of oxygen
