Vantrue N4, N2S, X4S, N1 Pro(2023), T3 Dash Cam GPS Receiver Module Type C USB Port Adhesive Mount for Windows and Mac

Without built-in wifi as an included feature this expensive dashcam becomes needlessly difficult to manage directly off the device mounted in a safe position on the windshield. The frequent reformatting of the SD card when the SD card is full (every 3 days even with a 256gb SD card). The rear mounted camera with the additional costly hardwire kit took 4 hours to properly mount then conceal to attach the wires to the fuse panel. The rear camera does not indicate lense positioning therefore its easy to attach the rear camera lens upside down. The GPS suction mount / adhesive forces the cable to position to the left of the camera rather than attach directly from the top to make concealing the rear camera wire and power cable easier to connect. Vantrue has done a disservice to this buyer.

Obviously by the reviews, many people including myself prefer this mounting system compared to the suction cup method. The suction cup doesnt work well for my needs because the inside of the windshield of a 3rd generation Tacoma where the sweet spot for placing the mount behind the rear view mirror is not a smooth surface and will not work with a suction cup. I wish Vantrue would either have the adhesive mount as an option or just permanently replace the suction cup.

Bought mine at the end of July (2022). At first, it was great because it was a major improvement from the poor suction cup that came with the camera. The adhesive tape seemed to have fixed the issue. BUT, a little over 6 months later, the tape is now 80% off! Mid-January 2023, about half of the lower portion was off of the spot where it was placed, like it was peeling off. Ive had to re-stick (push) the lower part in everytime and eventually tried to use some other type of tape to hold it in place. A week later, only about 20% of the adhesive is still in place. Im now worried that the camera would fall off soon, just like the original suction cup. Really disappointed. Now Ill need to either order another one (which is unavailable at the moment anyway), or have to buy a separate double sided tape to reinstall this a different way, or go back to the crappy suction cup. Did I say I was really disappointed?

I love how small the GPS mount is! It fits nicely behind my rear view Mirror. I had the suction cup GPS mount, I prefer this one. I don’t move my dash cam often so this is great!

Its been on through some very hot weather , no issues yet . Also comes with an extra adhesive sticker. Good unit.

Great product. Allows me to move from one vehicle to another with a click of the latch. USB-C Connector though is on the side instead of the top like the N4 included suction mount. Worst part, side opposite the rear camera connector on the N4. Now I have cables coming out if both sides.

The suction mount kept falling down over time. I got tired of reinstalling it so bought this one. This mount works much better than the supplied suction mount. Holds strong and does not fall off over time.

I bought this GPS receiver module for my Vantrue X4S dash cam and I’m very happy with it. It was easy to install and it works well with the Vantrue player software. I can see the location, speed and route of my vehicle on a map and also export the GPS data to other formats. The suction cup mount is strong and stable and the type C USB port is convenient. The GPS signal is accurate and reliable and it adds more value to my dash cam footage. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to add GPS functionality to their Vantrue N4, N2S, X4S, N1 Pro (2023) or T3 dash cam12.

The suction holder that came with the dash cam was not very good at staying on. So I got this with GPS. Only the dash cam stopped working after 1 week. On top of this breaking as well. Poor design.

I love this. So much better than the suction cup option. However, getting the dash am off is extremely difficult. The lever to remove it really needs to be bigger. It is so hard to reach it behind the cam, push that tiny level to remove the camera.
