> 3 dayI have bought many thermometers (oral and temporal) looking for a quick and easy thermometer that gives the correct temperature. When my daughter was eight years old I bought this and three others because the temporal thermometers I had were all over the place. This one is definitely my favorite - it gives an accurate read (I compared to the other two thermometers) in only five seconds, is easy to read and lights up with green, yellow, or red depending on the reading. Love it so much that I’ve bought more! Highly recommended.

> 3 dayWe bought the same thermometer as we had before because we liked the loud beep it made when the reading was finished. The replacement has soft peep and its difficult to hear. What did they bother messing with a winner for?

> 3 dayThis simple leas expensive thermometer is more reliable than the fancy expensive ones. I’ve tried the fancy Nose Frida head one, and the Phillips ear one and they have failed me when I’ve needed them the most. Which thermometer has NEVER failed me? That’s right the Vicks one! It’s dual use, rectal, underarm and under tongue. I love the light up colors and the loud beep when it’s done reading. Always have this thermometer handy even if you have other thermometers!

> 3 dayI have always loved this thermometer. It is on the flatter side, so easy to store. It is also extremely easy to read. I wish I would have come across this when I had young kiddos. I am able to grab the thermometer from my nightstand in the middle of the night, without turning lights on, and still see if I have a fever, or not simply based on the color. Green means that your fever is normal, yellow means you have a slight fever, and red means you have a fever. You can go wrong. The battery life lasts quite a long time as well. I have one in each of our nightstands throughout the house. I will never buy another thermometer!

> 3 dayWe like this thermometer so much that when my husband broke the one wed had for years (pulled the metal tip off trying to clean it, definitely his fault not manufacturing), he insisted i find the exact same one and buy it. Never thought wed have strong feelings about a thermometer but here we are lol

Greater than one weekThis thermometer has a large display that is very easy to read, and it yields a final temperature reading very quickly. I also bought a similar Vicks thermometer with the ComfortFlex feature (in the same order). Both thermometers consistently show temperature within 0.1 degrees (Fahrenheit) of each other, and their readings appear accurate when compared to other digital and glass thermometers that I have. The only drawback is that they read so quickly that you can get inconsistent results unless you position the tip in a good location very quickly, and keep it there for 8 seconds. I usually take three readings because I dont always get it positioned fast enough, and/or I dont keep the tip in a good location for the whole 8 seconds. I get a little better consistency if I put the thermometer tip on the top of my tongue for a few seconds to warm it up just a little. Then I take it out, turn it on, and put it under my tongue as soon as the display reads Lo. Note: I was disappointed with a cheaper ($5) digital thermometer because it was slower, less consistent, harder to read, and the poor design allowed liquid to get inside. The Vicks thermometer is much better all around, and is well worth the few extra dollars in price.
