WAHL Professional Animal Equine Grooming Rubber Curry Horse Brush, Turquoise (858712-100)

It is well conceived: light, good hand-fit, good size, nice design. Unfortunatly my mare is very sensitive and particularly reactive to anything new; she did not take to it, moving aside and rolling her eyes - even when I used it ultra lightly to accostum her to the new feeling. So, I would not recommend it off the bat for sensitive horses. My mare loves her curry comb from Posture Prep by Patricia Bona and I doubt she will settle for this new curry comb any time soon! But I am not giving up on it and will continue to introduce it intermitently. In the mean time, it it very good at cleaning the brushes...

This brush fits beautifully in my hand, and my two donkeys just love being brushed with it.

I didn’t take a picture because it’s spring and I had to use it right away. I really like this thing. Soft and effective on the face and around the eyes. Tough areas like legs too. I would highly recommend this to anyone with an animal that sheds.

This messaging brush is great! Comfortable to hold, so brushing longer is easy. And the horses love it! They closed their eyes and sighed as I brushed. This brush can go down legs, faces and all those softer places. Removes dirt. Can be used on manes and tails, too.

This curry is a bit overly stiff, which would be unpleasant for some horses mine included, and the tines are too long/ sticky. They trap the hair in deep which makes it difficult to clean out. Usual method of tapping to release the built up hair waffle did nothing and eventually needed to gently pull a hoofpick through to release the mat. Never did manage to get it clean without a bucket of water, which is a bit annoying considering this brush is for shedding and getting mud off. Also found it too light in my hand. I like a good heavy brush, and while it has a very wide back, perhaps too large for small hands, it just did not feel great to hold. The old Oster brushes are way more comfortable.

I love this rubber curry so much! It is super easy to wash and to clean hair out of during shedding season. Best of all, my horse absolutely loves it! I get the neck stretched out, eyes closed, and lip wiggle from my horse every time I use it on him.

I love this curry. The contoured handle makes it easier to grasp and hold while using it on the horse. My horse loves to be curried all over and this comb makes it easier on my hands. It is well made and I wrote my name on immediately so it wouldnt disappear !

The only thing I do not like is that it does not have a handle or a strap so it’s a little more difficult to brush my daughter’s Weimaraner

My goats LOVE this brush. Might have to get another so I have one for each hand. LOL!

Love this curry comb! It is very easy to hold and work with, and it curries my horses winter coats just fine. I am going to purchase another. Recommended!
