Works good easy install quick scans. I have used All the different Antivirus software and like this one because it Truly stays up to date. Never a button to click to update definitions because it is Cloud based. I do recommend manually scanning you hard drive, which takes more time. Just go into settings and find your hard drive, right click on it and the choose Scan with WebRoot. I use Windows 10, it works very well but still use windows malicious software removal tool which can be downloaded for free. * Also go under Settings, Access Control ,make a password and also check off the First 4 Boxs and the Last Box on this page. Will prevent Webroot from being tampered with and being shut off, which hackers do all the time.

Been using this program for about 8 years now and have never had a single security breach or problem. All for about 20 dollars/year. Great value and easy to load. WEBROOT is great with awesome customer service! Highly recommend!

The software works very well however customer support is almost non-existent, and Ive been trying to reach their customer support operation for several weeks now to resolve an inaccurate device count that the software is reporting via a personal security report (PSR). This software allows 3 installations. Ive only installed it on one PC and had hoped to install it on my daughters MAC. Finally found a working phone number to their customer support and was advised that they could NOT correct the inaccurate device count listed in the PSR. However, the device count listed in my online Webroot account is correct. I paid for a software program but also paid for the customer and tech support to back it up. You have to search to find the links and contact information to get customer support hence the one star. 10/1/2016-New problem- I need to change the primary email address and their knowledge base reports that I have to obtain a new key code and then uninstall and re-install the program. Its just an email address in the personal account settings, like making an edit to update a telephone number- why make it so difficult? It should be easily updated in the account settings but its not. Again only one star.

A while ago I had a virus on my PC and this was the only program able to detect and remove it at the time. It scans quickly and doesnt cause my laptop to lag. I purchased the CD on Prime Day and it was as easy as just typing in the code that came with it to renew my subscription.

Ive used Web Root for many years ... it has always done the job for me for a lesser price.

I think its a good product from all the testing that was done on it, but it doesnt block some of the sites that malwarebytes used to shut down, so Im unsure about that. I have not had an infection since installing the product and the scan time is pretty fast at under 3 minutes.

Found out through some research that its cheaper to buy new on Amazon than renew this virus protection from within my already installed Webroot on my laptop. Pricing for the same product is half as much to buy it online than to renew through the already installed software. At any rate, its still working great! I have used this brand for many years now without any issues! Very happy with its reliability for protecting the computer.

Webroot reminds me of AVG, but is a bit more streamlined. It does its work in the background, and seems to do it very well. I have been a life long Norton user ever since I learned PC-Dos (not ms-dos) from Peter Nortons book (I still have it). Over the past few years I have been getting more and more frustrated with Norton, and did not totally trust AVG, as it was a bit twitchy. So far I am pleased with Webroot after dumping Norton antivirus which was becoming too much work. Windows platforms are hard enough to maintain without having to deal with antivirus software that you constantly have to update and scan, and comes in to load the latest version, that then asks you to send money when your existing version still has over 300 days to go. When doing web searches, Webroot will mark each with trusted, questionable, or no markings to let you know whether or not to go there. Webroot works in the background, and will always come up when you first start your computer to let you know it is working. After many tries to get an answer from webroot, the people on Amazon finally came up with what I asked: YOU CAN USE ANY UN-USED CD IN ANY YEAR which is much like Norton. At under $20.00 for 3 PCs, I really cant find a better deal/software, and at this price, what is stopping you from giving it a try. Addendum: Have been using for 5 or 6 years now, and am very happy, but it does have a tendency to become a bit unstable during the last 30 days of the subscription; hmmmmm, I wonder why?

I purchased a renewal subscription from Amazon and was waiting for the prior year subscription to expire. I was in the process of preparing important documents regarding sale of a building. All of a sudden my screen locked up and a web root blue screen gave me a choice of renewing or uninstalling. Even going to task manager and attempting to end the task wouldnt work. I got an error message access denied. I couldnt get out of the blue screen and unfortunately and only a hard reboot of my computer would work which caused me to lose all my unsaved work. All five of my computers locked up the same way. In prior years, you could go to task manager and end the web root task, then proceed to enter your new key code with no need to uninstall. Then try finding a phone number for tech support...good luck. This is a ridiculous way to do business and to treat your customers. A simple message warning you that you need to renew would be sufficient. I can guarantee you Im going to switch antivirus software immediately.
