White Wizard Games Star Realms: Colony Wars

My wife and I play this nearly every night. We have a cocktail after dinner and play two rounds in less than an hr. We love it and the wear on the cards shows it. Cheers

I owned a Colony Wars deck that I thought my kids lost prior to buying this deck. Found the old deck. Compared it to this newer deck. I am very disappointed. They decreased the quality of the cards and now print them on thinner paper. They also got rid of the 20/10/5/1 authority point cards and replaced those multiple cards with two scoring cards that you overlap to mark your score. The problem is if you bump those two scoring cards even slightly you can/will lose your score! These changes are really terrible. Previously I was so impressed by the company and the high quality deck they produced, but this is a big step backward.

My brother and our friends love the Star Realms Deck Building Game! So, it only made sense to buy this stand alone expansion to increase our player number by another two for four player fights. I just hope, sometime soon, they make yet another 2-player stand alone expansion.

Great little game. My daughter and I tried it out as a time filler while on vacation. She (15 yrs) had a lot of fun and so did I.

Family really like Star Realms, so got this expansion so we could play 3 or 4 players or 2 games with 2 players. Pretty much the same game as Star Realms with a little variation with the ships and base/outposts. Like the theme of the game and the graphics on the cards are good. Like that you can win with different factions and faction combos (no one faction is overpowering), so games are usually different. Only issues are that the card stock is lower quality and more flimsy than the Star Realm cards I already have. I like and dont like the card box. It is nice because it is very portable but it is not great quality and after a few weeks am already taping the box to keep it together. Would like something more study to protect the cards. Overall, it is an enjoyable game.
