This bit did a great job. It is crazy sharp and holds its edge well. I use it in an older 3/4 hp router to cut through 1/2 oak pallet wood thats edge glued to make 30x30 squares. I then use the router in a home made circle jig to cut out 28 clock faces from the wood. The router bit cuts well, doesnt skip a beat on glue joints, and has held its edge well for four clock faces. Recommended.

The bit is good. Sharp and cuts clean. The picture on amazons website is deceiving. I wanted a downcut, but my router is under the table, same orientation as the picture shows and spinning in such a direction that this bit actually forces the piece up. I wish the picture was clearer because I thought I was buying the right bit and it ended up ruining my project. I think I actually need an upcut bit so that the Plexiglas im working on wont try to jump off the table. live and learn.

Nice clean cuts. Not over priced. I love Whiteside bits. I use 1/4” and 1/8” down cut bits.

I use this on my cnc and it creates clean cuts. Ive used it to cut in oak and softwoods, no complaints at all. it stays sharp and have use it for quite a while now, made at least 100 signs with it.

Ive always had good experiences with Whiteside bits. I had been using a Bosch bit from Lowes and decided to try one of these in my CNC. The cut was excellent in the maple I was using. Havent used it enough to know how long it will last, but so far, Im very satisfied.

I use this in my CNC for cutting wood. I was using a Niagara 1/4” endmill before. It was cutting okay but was starting to leave really stringy cuts in pine and birch plywood. Pretty sure it was getting dull, but still never cut as well as this one. It was also not cutting dimensionally accurate at all, and the cuts showed some lines (both of which I attributed to the CNC setup, not the bit). I’ve never been let down by Whiteside so I decided to order up a couple of these. MAN AM I GLAD I DID! The cut quality was SO MUCH better AND more accurate with this bit!! Just changing to this bit made my dimensions 100% accurate, and saved me SO. MUCH. SANDING. SO. SO. MUCH. Because I’m using this to make products to sell, this bit literally is saving me money on my finished products, by way of saving me many hours of sanding/finish work. I’ve had good luck and spoke highly of Whiteside before, but now I’m straight up a Whiteside evangelist! I’ve had great luck with Whiteside, Freud and Amana bits. Those cheaper bits can get the job done (like Ryobi), I’ve really found lately that the finished cuts coming off quality bits really is worth the extra couple bucks.
