Great Angle Gauge, best I have had so far.

I got suckered into buying one of these by the salesman at woodcraft. I told him I use a square to set my saw at 90 and he said this is way more accurate. I figured Id give it a shot and zeroed it to my saw table and then mounted it to the blade. I had zeroed it already with a square with zero light gap and the box said my blade was at 89.8. I tried making small adjustments with the tilt knob and ended up making much larger inputs that I ever do with the square to get the display tp change and even though I was making slow inputs, the display would not show 90. It would jump between 90.1 and 89.8 and when I eventually got it to display 90, it was clearly off based on my square. I use a high quality square, so thats not my issue. Worthless.

Meter was used and just showing an error message, then the screen went blank. Battery compartment was corroded and out side case showed signs of wear.

I quickly set my radial arm saw and table to exactly 90.0 degrees.

As cheap angle gauges go this one is repeatable if you spin it in a circle, which I do for timing engines. The downside is that it reads 0-180-0 rather than 0-360. This feature makes it easy to make errors when youre using it to measure rotational angles rather than simple slopes.

Outstanding instrument, its the only way to know you are set correctly. This is the second one I have purchased, the first one I gave to her friend. I really enjoyed the back light in the new model.

I constantly use this Digital Angle Gauge because believe it or not it is fairly accurate especially for the price I paid for. I dont know how long this device would last but given what I paid for, this device still deserves a 5-star in my book.
