I used these for chicks. They do not provide nearly as much heat in the enclosure as the typical infrared heat bulbs although the bulb itself gets very hot (burned even oven mitts when I tried to unscrew it) . No real light emitted though which may be beneficial depending on your needs. Overall works just not suited to my needs.

So far working well. Ive been using it nightly 8-10 hours and have not had to replace the bulb yet. Ive been using it for gentle glare and draft free heat for my birds covered cage at night. Ive have it connected to a heat sensor probe to maintain even heat at the level of their perch because I like too keep the rest of the house cold at night. Warms up the covered cage gently from 60 to 70 degrees in 5-10 minute. The cover is key. Well see how long the bulb lasts. So far so good.

Very great value for your money! These bulbs cost less for two than one costs at most specialty pet stores. I havent even had to change my snakes bulb yet, and its been several months. I would definitely recommend checking out these bulbs, you wont be disappointed!

Easily the best heat lamp Ive ever had for my Bearded Dragon. I have a traditional light just for daylight and this ceramic heating lamp has increased her activity. At 11 years old she went from being slow and often hidden in her home with the heating light bulbs, shes now out and active like Ive never seen before. She enjoys it. And I like seeing her as a hunter again.

Received this two pack and one burned out within 24 hours. We are using the proper fixture for it so not sure what happened. Hoping this doesn’t happen with the second one or I’ll have a cool Lizard .

It served its purpose, but unfortunately one of the two bulbs did not give off any heat.

The very first bulb cracked making a loud pop within the first 5 minutes, bulb was room temperature when put into the fixture then turned on.
