First big dip down to the freezing mark of the season, purchased this heater to simply sit in the bilge for our 24 footer which lives outside on a lift at the marina. As I write this, just checked on the boat at the marina for the first time, it is 37° outside temperature, I have a big winter cover on the boat, went inside and pulled the bilge cover, and this mighty little heater was on and the entire bilge and engine block area was very comfortable and warm. first check of the new heater of the season so I’ll reserve judgment for durability, but at this moment it is doing exactly what it is supposed to do. Wonderfully happy and extra peace of mind.

Just got this so cant give a full review but my husband loves the fact that we can extend our boating season. Will know more after winter.

It comes on at 40 degrees or so, and turns off at 50 or so. Not bad!!

I have 4 SOK 206 amp batteries in a bank that I need to keep up over the winter. I had to bring them inside due to the extreme cold and put them on a charger to maintain them. The charger brought them back to the storage voltage and they are doing fine. Then I installed this heater in the battery/ electrical compartment of my RV which is only 120 square feet, and reinstalled the batteries. The heater is running on one of my Renogy inverters. Now the space has stayed 40+ degrees and the batteries haven’t had any issues. Cold weather and batteries are mortal enemies but this little guy came in and saved the day.

This is the second Xtreme heater Ive bought. Great engine room heater, still using the first one and after six years, havent had any issues. Would recommend if you need a dependable engine heater.
