Everything was great about this monitoring the amps that I was using for an AC unit. Of course the power went out, and this device can’t be reset. It just shows a red light. Don’t buy this garbage. If your out of your 30 day Amazon return window, you will be screwed. I own many other power plugs that look like this, and holding the power button for 5 seconds will reset the device. Not this one. Stay away.

I tried this out in hopes it would work in my home. I don’t know if my Google Wifi is on a different megahertz band than this device will allow. I could never get it to work in anyway shape or form. If you spend longer than 20 minutes, trying to get a smart plug to initiate, there’s a problem. I admit this might be User or Home issue, but just didn’t work for me.

I have a very powerful fan that was blowing out my regular wifi plugs. This one has proven the ability for a heavier power draw

I used this wifi switch on a 110 water heater in our 2nd home. Works perfectly. Now I don’t have to keep it on when we aren’t there but the water is nice and hot when we get there. I would definitely recommend.

Plug connection does not match a 20 amp outlet. App demands access to the cloud. You have to jump through major hoops to activate it. It is not worth the trouble. You should not need an IT specialist to use a product. Rating should be -5 stars. Dont waste your money.

Misleading....not 20A as described, returned for refund.

I bought this 20A smart plug to control my 19A air compressor. The plug stopped working after a few uses with my air compressor. I could turn the plug ON and OFF manually and with the app, but no power was delivered to my air compressor. The 20A rating would appear to be a false claim since19A fried the plug. I also had a hard time setting it up. I could not get it auto-configured and had to manually add it using the Smart Life app. I tried adding it to Google Home and was not able to get that to work. Also, as you can see in the photo, you will need a microscope to read the provided instruction sheet. Maybe I got a bad unit, but I had a 1 star experience with this product. Its on its way back to Amazon as I type this.

Says it will take 20 amp but started turning brown after 1 month. Have 3 so hopefully the other 2 last longer.

Worked for 1/2 trying to setup and link to our WiFi. . . . finally gave up in desperation. . . have several similar products from another company that are a breeze to set up.

Unlike my other smart plugs rated at 10 and 15 amps, this one has a 20-amp rating which makes it useful for controlling heavier equipment, lighting, and appliances. It also has a very cool unique feature of showing the real time power consumption through the plug when you click the Smart Life “Electric” tab. I have 3 smart plug brands, and none of them has such a high capacity nor the power monitoring. It even knows the month and year and can track ongoing power consumption in KWh. I’m impressed. See the screenshot in my photos. It took just minutes to set up in Smart Life and comes with an English-only instruction folder. It uses only the 2.4 GHz WiFi band and has an excellent sensitive radio which tested well in a poor signal area of my house (-80 dbm). It does not require a strong high speed WiFi signal. It works perfect and easily with Google Assistant via the Home app. Mine is a Google/Android household, so I can only address performance in my setting. I have a lot of smart plugs in my house, so it’s important that the switches themselves don’t draw much parasitic power. This one appears to draw only about 0.3W when on and unmeasurable power when off. You can operate the plug manually with its button, which glows blue when off and blue/red when on. The circular round plug is larger than my lower rated ones and partially blocks the adjacent power outlet where you can still use a two prong non-ground plug but not a 3 prong. With its high current rating and highly unique power monitor feature, this plug gets my best 5-star recommendation.
