These temp/humidity sensors took the place of my old Acurite hydrometers/thermometers. They were more accurate and now I have alerting through Yolink. Absolutely no issues with connection or distance. Have one in my gun safe too and the signal is very strong.

These are a little complicated (for a simple mind like mine) to set up and get connected but overall, I like them and have ordered a couple more sensors since.

I have 6 of them, I tried several others before and did not worked as this ones. I use them to monitor my cold rooms and freezers and they worked as advertise. The cold rooms and freezers previously could not being measured due to “distance” or thick walls, the signal with yolink has no problem. I write this review because this just paid itself, one of the rooms send an alert for high temperature, someone left the door opened, this has just saved me a lot of money and a big headache. I recommend them!

I was looking for a system to monitor my home while I was away. After doing hours of research I selected the YoLink solution because, for my needs, it offered the best combination of available functionality and simplicity/reliability. The system connects to the internet using a small hub device. The *many* available monitors and sensors connect wirelessly to the hub using LoRa wireless technology, The LoRa wireless operates on a different frequency than home wifi and offers greater range. It easily penetrates walls and floors. All of my monitor/sensor wireless connections located in 3 levels of my home and garage are rock-solid. Setup is unbelievably simple. First install the phone app. Then setup the hub which can be connected to your home network wireless or hard wired. To add devices to the system, simply scan the QR code label on each sensor using the app and it will be added to your homes system. Thats it! I am currently using this for temperature/humidity monitoring, water leak detection and garage door (open-closed) status right out of the box. I havent yet tried programming which can add additional functionality. Using the apps notification features I can get alerts, etc on my phone and even on my Apple watch over the cellular network. I get all of this for a reasonable price. BTW, for video monitoring, I use Blink cameras. Using both systems is not cumbersome or inconvenient.

I did not have high hopes since I am expecting a device to communicate through block walls AND metal shed walls....BUT it is actually picking up a good signal! I am super impressed so far and I will continue to monitor and tinker with it this weekend. This device may have found a new home! Now I wish YoLink would make security cameras! You listening YoLink? Give us cameras! edited to add: This wifi hygrometer is amazing. It only lost signal one time, and thats when some guys installing a new fence for me cut my cable on accident. I was immediately alerted that connection was lost. I left work and pulled up to my house and asked why they cut the cable...they were baffled how I knew. lol I also sent an in app message to the developers and surprisingly received an email back within 12 hours.

I had doubts when I ordered this, but it has absolutely been worth it! I bought an upright freezer a couple years ago after our chest freezer failed. The upright does not have any kind of spring or anything at all to help it close, and twice within a few months we lost a lot of food after not noticing that the door was slightly ajar after getting something out. Now the kids and I try to be religious about double checking the door is shut, but this sensor still has come to the rescue 2 or 3 times so far. Ive set it to trigger if the freezer temp gets warmer than 25 - the freezer is set to zero and getting something out bumps it up maybe 10 degrees. It has no issues connecting from inside our freezer in the basement to the hub upstairs and a couple rooms over. The battery life still shows full, and it keeps a log of temperature and humidity over time. Im absolutely thrilled with this product, especially at the price point, and given that the system has other sensors we can use with terrific range.

I have two of these sensors, purchased mostly to monitor the fridge sensor. The first one had a faulty antenna, it fell out, so the range is quite poor. The other goes through batteries very quickly, its faulty in some way. Other than those two flaws they seem to work quite well.

I put one of these in each of my freezers. Even the one out in the garage gets a good signal! It is peace of mind to know I will be notified if there is an issue with the temperature before it is too late.
