received this item and it is broken and this item is not eligible for return! beware!

Please do not use these types of bulbs - they are known to cause eye issues in reptiles (photo-kerato-conjunctivitis). I usually buy the tube uvb lights,I buy these bulbs as backup. They work very well and inexpensive as uvb bulbs go. Well worth the money.

Ok, so my 1st bulb died after 4 days roughly. Contacted amazon and we swapped bulbs. So far so good

It blew out in a couple of weeks.

I dropped it and it broke I had it under a week and they dont do returns so...

Lasted less than one day. The bulb melted and never worked again.

Bulb arrived today, 3/19. When I plugged it in it came on for maybe half a second and then burnt out. 10/10 would NOT recommend. Attempted to initiate a return and it says it’s not eligible.

I have tried many different brands over the years and have stuck with these zoo med cfls for the last 3 years for my turtles and will never go back to generic cheap bulbs. I swap them out every year like it says (although i dont notice a difference in brightness). These bulbs are not for lighting up your tank but to provide your reptiles with the necessary uvb rays needed for many different aspects of their health.
