> 3 dayAs others have stated these are covered in grease. Its a basic coating that most bearings you order come with and was not a big deal. The bearings come in these plasic tube holders and all i did was fill it up with rubbing alcohol (best i had) and shook it then used a paper towel to clean them off. So far out of the 2 tubes ive done that to and tested, ive only had 2 hard to move bearings. It was clear this was due to the plastic cover not fitting well and not a problem with the bearing itself. If you have the time to clean them or were planning on using the bearings in a more mechanically heavy application and will grease them yourself then these are perfect. Very cheap and so far average quality. The grease smell is just a normal one i dont know why some people were overreacting. Im building mechanical joints for a raspberry pi project and these are exactly what i needed to ensure everything moves properly. I may clean them and mix in graphite powder with more grease to use them as sliprings since damage is not a concern for the sheer plethora i now have.

04-04-2025These bearings are not hardened as advertised. Upon disassembling, the bearing races and even bearing balls were not hardened and could be easily deformed with slight pressure between pliers and were also easily filed with low grade carbon steel hand files. The wobble was also significant, with the inner shaft and outer being able to skew in excess of 4 degrees without load. The seals were also garbage with holes and flashing still present, but that of lesser importance. Perhaps a more telling sign is the warning in the photo: Note... not professional bearings. That is, these are not bearings any company would use in a consumer product. Because they are not precise, wear will increase. Because they are not hardened, they will easily abrade away. The thick grease is likely there to disguise the rough texture of the races and the already malformed balls. If you use these bearings, do not do so in an expensive piece of equipment or in a skateboard where a bearing failure could mean a trip to the hospital. Go ahead and drop the same amount of money on 6-12 good bearings from a reputable source. If, however, you are going to make a fidget spinner, go nuts. Thats about the only use where quality is of second concern.

> 3 dayCheap and cheerful. The rubber seals make removing the grease easier. Price is right for simple 3D printer projects.

> 3 dayBreaks extremely quickly, unsafe for skateboarding. I bought these for backup bearings in case mine blew out at the park but even so, theyre not worth it. Theyre so cheap and fragile they get destroyed within a few hours of riding. If you want to buy these for skateboarding, I strongly recommend you dont.

Greater than one weekI was expecting to get the same bearings in the picture which showed ABEC-7 bearings. They also came very dirty and greasy. They barely rolled and was just a half step up from the 20 year old rusty ABEC-1 bearings that were on the board before hand. Changed the wheels and trucks so I know that wasnt the problem.

Greater than one week85/100 worked. 15 either broken or wont rotate. If this was a hug school exam Id say hey, solid B! But it isnt, so I gave it 3 stars instead of 4. If you need 100 working bearings youll want to order more than one package. If you only needed half, like I did, this works out ok.

Greater than one weekWhen I first got into 3D printing, I didnt know these things existed. I quickly found, however, that the 608 is the bearing of choice for many 3D-print projects that need rotating parts. I really dont know how long it is going to take me to use all of these (so far Ive only used them in three projects), but I couldnt pass up the quantity price. They fit perfectly in every project that calls for a 608, they turn smoothly -- whats not to like.

> 3 dayThese are worse than bearings packed with sand. 30% of them had flat spots on the balls in the bearing that are supposed to be perfectly spherical. Other bearings had extra width on the inner race making it not fit into my application. Some of them the races where ground on a bias making the bearing wobble left to right and not track true. Every single bearing was so stiff when I recieved them that I had to spin them with my drill to get them moving, but now there is so much slop that it looks like bearings I should be replacing before even installing them. The runber dust shields should in theory seal on the inner and outer races; theese ones however let you see light through.... So bottom line if you need 45-50 extreamly light duty, wobbly noisy bearings this is the set to get. Otherwise stay away far far away. If you are thinking these might be good enough for a DIY CNC They are NOT!!
