This is a great set for trying out tie-dyeing without spending a fortune at a craft store. The pigments mixed well within the bottles, and the colors are bold transfer to fabrics. The colors have faded a little after a few washings, but no more than the dyes Ive purchased in stores. Whether you are buying this as a first-time set or refilling supplies, its a great set thats worth the money.

Yes this is a large set - but 120 of 169 pieces are rubber bands. Are the additional items useful? Yes. With 26 awesome bright and vibrant colors you should be able to make just about any color you want or already have it made here! The bottles are filled with pigment powder - and the box feels very light - but once you add water you will see that everything works perfectly! This set has enough to make approximately 5 shirts - while there are 26 colors the bottles only hold 60 ml of water with the color powder. However we were making shirts for my kids and pillowcases so we were able to get 4 kids shirts and 5 pillow cases completed - while they were not all my top color picks we did have enough coloring. This is a great set and includes everything excep the items you want to dye. The shirts came out great with vibrant colors and eye catching patterns. There are plenty of ideas included and the instructions are very useful. I love the variety and this set is great for either groups, or for multiple projects over time. I have used other dyes and I would definitely recommend using cotton for your project since it holds the dye the best. If you use a 50/50 cotton blend, you may find that your colors dont set. Great set and giftable.

Lots of color in one box. The colors are very vibrant and has everything needed. My first box was missing some colors (the bottles were there, but no dye inside). I contacted the seller and had a second box within two days. Highly recommend.
